Im not out of my TWA stage :wallbash: I'll consider myself graduated when I can put it all into one ponytail. Here is a comparison shot of a twist-out from my fotki: Its not a lot but its something.

You've gotten some thickness and length there in the past 5 months!!! i hope i progress as well as you do!!!

Your hair has made great progress over the past few months. It is so healthy looking and thick! What are you using for your DC's? I like that headband too... I have got to go to the Dollar Store!!! Everyone gets so many great things from there!

i had to go through the thread cuz i have been beating myself up about growth...i've actually gotten 1'' maybe a smidget more of growth since 3/10...i'm kinda happy about that, go me, go me, uh huh, uh huh! uh huh uh huh uh huh! any one else?

Sorry for coming back so late with this Suzie, I just saw your question.
The routine is easy. Just co wash in the shower, then apply a leave in or a moisturizing conditioner and rinse out a little, leaving your hair moisturized. You can also use a moisturizing gel afterwards, but I don't.

I am sooo style challenged. I tried twists but it didn't look right. So I just wash and go, and push back the front with a headband or scarf. I have about 4-5 in. stretched. What else can I do?
 
I'm feeling those who are feeling styling challenged, lol. I've been experimenting all month, and sometimes they come out decent (never great), most times not. But what I like is that it's easy to just wet my hair and wear a wash and go :yawn: Growthwise, I've gotten almost an inch since my BC a month ago. No complaints about that!:grin:
 
LongHairDreams i like the way u have this system....maybe if we have some inches along w/ it so it's clear as to who falls under a TWA, TA, Afro BA BAA.
i know for sure i'm twa...im 1.5" when stretched.
so watch cha think?

is there going to be another 6mth...i think i need the whole year...lol maybe even next year:grin:

I have to figure that out....the inches thing. Yeah, I could go another 6 months too.

Do we know why it was a 6 month challenge to begin with? All the other twa growouts from previous years were for 1 year. I'm definitely going to be needing another 6 months.
 
girl, i don't know why, in 6 months i would only get 3'' anyway and by the end of the year i'll have 5-6''.

SignatureBeauty what it do? june 1st should be round 2 for our twa. i think most of us if not all of us twa r wanting till Dec. 08 for this challenge. and if we have to start another one in '09 u know we gonna keep on with the keep'n on sistah.
 
The Challenge can keep on going for the next 6 months, Most Twa challenges that I have been in start off with 6 Months, But going Til December is Great!!! Keep it moving, I can't wait to see ya'll hair growth and pretty puffs and fro's:yep:

Yay! Keep it up girl!

I just sneaked up in the TA Stage! Woot Woot. I feel my Afro is within reach now.

I'm looking to have 8inches of hair by DEC. I'm inching across the 4inch mark now.

I'm in this challenge. I'm giving myself to May 2009 to be completely out of the TWA stage.

Right now just wetting my hair daily and wearing protective styles.

Anyone here use Kinky Curly Custard this early in the game? I wanna try it but $25 is a lot to just test a product.

When it comes to curl deffinition products I'm cheap b/c I've had too many let downs :lachen:

I do the conditioner and shaggy dog thing and it works but there is no shine afterwards.
 
How's it going everyone?!? I think I am a sneeze away from a TA and I finally was able to do some twists that looked almost decent enough to leave the house in, lol! Anyone else have updates?!?! This is such a tough challenge and it's so easy to get frustrated and impatient :ohwell: On the upside, I do love the fact that I look much cooler than most of the people walking down the street in this 98 degree weather...:spinning:

i hope this challenge keeps going in some way or another because i just ( 3days ago) cut off color damaged ends in a BC. and in hoping to gain some length by dec 08.
