Girl, your hair is growing good. I remember when you had a TTWWA....LOL

LOL!!!! Thanks!! I just can't wait for those 2 inches to grow out, I am halfway there, I think I am going to give myself a Trim today and that will help get me there Faster, I know my hair will be the same length as now, but I will be so happy, I can't say I regret texlaxing but I just feel better with my natural napps, my hair looks healthier, it smells good and don't require alot of Treatments or Products!!!!

Your hair Looks wonderful! That is the Length I should be at very soon, I just kept looking at your hair, thinking if I would have left mine alone,I would be at her length by now:grin: Well I am off to trim a whole Inch off!!!!!

So it's been about a week since my BC and I am tired of my wash and go's already, lol!:lachen:So thank you for posting some of those previous posts about styling suggestions for TWA's. I guess I'm going to try some of them every few days. I feel like every time I put BT or my MN mix in, I'm just wasting it because I'm washing it a day/day and a half later anyways. I need a style that will hold up for a few days...I'll update on my progress.

On another note, what are you girl's short term goals at this point? Is it a baby puff? Where do you see your hair by the end of the year?

My avatar is my current update. It's growing pretty good. I'm hoping for 7-8 inches of hair by the time my BC anniversary rolls around in November.

My regimen (if you want to call it that):

Steam DC once or twice a week
Co-wash at twice a week
Vitamins/supplements at least 4 times/week
Ovation Challenge - Will start next week when OCT arrives.

HHG

CAnt wait to be out of my twa phase and more into the mushroom hair shape!!!!!!!! Patience is the key!!

WOW!! You ladies are doing wonderful! Welcome to the new ladies that are joining us.

UPDATE: I went ahead and done the Big Chop on 4/26/08 so I am gonna have to start all over again LOL!! I have half an inch of hair and I am so happy to have my natural hair back, I think I like to watch it grow.

My Goal is to let it grow Completely out for one year, I know that isn't short term, but with my hair so short I don't have many options LOL!! But I want to go for one year without Big Chopping again. It seems that my hair seems to be growing faster this time around:grin:

Good Luck Ladies!!

I'm due for some update photos but my laptop is broken so I have to wait til I get home from Howard to do an update. Great growth ladies!

Hi guys,

I'm trying to play around with my hair a little because this wash and go is getting old...so I'm trying twists tonight. I've tried them on wet hair before and it was tough to keep the ends together, and they also shrunk, lol. Is it easier to do them on dry hair? I'm thinking I might do them dry because I'd get more length out of them??? Am I going crazy:spinning: TIA!

For those of you who joined the challenge at the beginning, how has your progress been? It's almost 6 months!!! Who is out of their TWA stage?

I believe dry will show more length, but when you wash them, they will shrink :ohwell: (I think, I may be wrong)

Im not out of my TWA stage :wallbash: I'll consider myself graduated when I can put it all into one ponytail. Here is a comparison shot of a twist-out from my fotki: Its not a lot but its something.

For me, both ways works. Mine's don't come loose while wet. But maybe that's because I sometimes use different products to twist with, since I'm in that exploring stage of getting to know my hair. And yep I deal with shrinkage with my hair, but it doesn't bother me none LOL But I have to say that doing them dry does show more length than wet, at least for me. But sometimes when dry and I twist the ends, I'll sometimes wind up with twists looking like they're trying to flip the bird at me amongst other twists that's just lying there LOL:lachen::lachen:

I haven't even been natural 6 mos yet, just became natural in Feb. But my progress is going great. I'm loving it though!:woot: As for out of the TWA stage, nope, no where near that accomplishment yet! But maybe by end of year? Dunno, we'll see.

AzTheCurlzTurns, hey how's it go'n!

ya'll my hair is getting on my nerves! It is not growing or its on that slow boat to china with the back to africa movement again! Ugh, I'm wondering if it's me always keeping it shrunken up or what! I cow, dc'n it, I'm slowing puting my braids back in b/c of this, and Im just adding my jbco since my scalp was a little itchy and dry. My hair is loving what I am doing to it but is my scalp? I'm try'n to figure out what it is I'm doing or not doing to give it the boost it needs. I should be right at 2" right now working on 3" but yet I'm kick'n it at 1.5". Is anyone feeling like this?
