Nah. I want it because I like it.

It depends on where you are and what your definition of long is. Seeing a black woman with healthy MBL or longer hair is still pretty rare for me.
Deep down, yes....I would love to be "that girl", I love haters, lol.![]()
Ok, my response sounded kinda bad, let me clarify....
For me, most women IRL won't come up to me and ask me what my regimine is or what salon I go to...they just stare me down most of the time...something like a hater move.
Now if/when women come up to me and ask, I will gladly go into detail about what I do, or give them this website. I have had a total of 3 women ask me about my hair in the last year and with each one I took the time to write down information...the whole nine...one lady worked at the post office and folks in line were pissed at how long we were "talking hair".
The way I see it, women are going to stare and mean mug you and you can't help that. That is obviously THEIR insecurities and jealousy shining through...I can't change that. I would prefer for a woman to step to me and ask me a question...I try to look approachable.
I don't think it's realistic to think that the same openness we have on this site with women, is comparable or realistic in real life...I wish it was, but it isn't. I was joking about the I want haters comment, but I think that hater attention translates into they are looking at me because something about me is different or unique. That's what I like, it doesn't bother me to see a woman with longer hair then me...heck I might ask her what her regimine is. It motivates me..if I see a woman with fly makeup I'll go up and ask her what products she uses. Ok, I'm rambling now, but I just wanted to clarify, lol...I'm done.
The reason Im growing my hair out is for vanity. Pure, raw, unadulterated vanity. What can I say, Im vain. Heck, I probably think this song is about me.
There is no need for anyone to envy anything about me. Just get in where you fit in.
I used to wonder how people had long hair, but I never used my powers for evil and get envious about it. I used my powers for good to do a Google search and found LHCF.
People only get jealous when something seems unattainable. When they take time to put forth the effort, and wait on their progress, they won't have time to be envious.
I'm happy to tell anyone about a bun, a rollerset and some S-curl.
I'm down for bettering myself in anyway that I can. At the moment I feel like longer hair is an improvement. Next year, it may be something else.
NO other ppl envy regardless whether its long or short, i think just because its there, lol um, i just want long hair because i think its nice and sexy on ME.
What's where I'm at. First, I want them to see it can be done. Second, I want ALL black women sportin' WL. I want black woman to be synonymous with "crazy wild, super long hair."
