Hey Ladies,

I'm just curious as to what everyone is doing to their hair before they go to bed. I want to know relaxed or natural or something else, what products you use and if you cover your hair.

I'll start

I'm transitioning with keratin treatments & lately I've been doing a whole lot of NOTHING before bed. I sleep on a satin pillow case with my hair in a loose bun.

I'm natural, and this week i have twists in. I apply my pomade to my scalp, massage, apply moisturizer to ends, seal with olive/coconut oil, pull twists back into a ponytail, and tie a satin scarf over my hair (helps keep edges laid). Then I put a satin bonnet on over that. As regular practice, I wear a satin bonnet to bed nightly. I sleep on a satin pillowcase as back-up, lol.

Straight hair natural. I wrap my hair into a tight top knot or two knots if I want my curls to be tight. Then satin scarf & I go to bed. I loveeeeee this method! No more flat hair, bouncy voluminous hair all week long!

Varies if my hair is dry I will spritz it with water then use either Qhemets Burdock root or Anita Grants whipped shea, twist it then pin it to my head.

If it is not dry then I do nothing.

Usually I don't do anything. I sleep on a satin pillowcase though... I had started wearing this satin wrap thing because I thought it was going to help lay down my ends but nope... I just needed a better conditioner so off that went.

Edit: I'm relaxed.

Satin bonnet & satin pillowcase.

I moisturize seal and do chunky flat twists. Super fast.

Natural and I usually wear flat twist or a twist out. I just put on my satin bonnet. If its freshly washed I don't cover it to let it dry.

Transitioning to natural.
Silk scarf around my edges, loose hair in a satin bonnet, sleep on a satin pillowcase.
No product usage unless I'm overnight pre-pooing. I M&S before work so it can sink in throughout the day.

I'm natural and bun about 85% of the time. I put my hair in a bun on Sunday and it gets tied with a scarf around the edges and a bonnet on the bun nightly. I may spritz 1-2x a week before bed but the bun does not come down until Friday!!

I'm a Fine haired 4a/3c natural and I put on my satin headband/wrap, pineapple (without the scrunchie) and put on my bonnet. The satin headband/wrap keeps my edges laid until washday.

It depends on how I'm wearing my hair and what it needs at the time.
I almost always oil my scalp. I moisturize and seal my ends about 75% of the time.
I sleep with a silk or satin bonnet and have a satin pillowcase.

I'm natural. My hair feels better when I do those things and I have fewer splits.

I'm a fine-haired natural and my hair's in twists most of the time. Every other day to every three days I m&s with water and my shea butter mix (maybe some conditioner if my hair's especially dry). Otherwise I just gather my hair into two buns.

I sleep with a satin scarf on a sating pillow case.

I'm a fine stranded 4A natural. At night, I will oil my scalp, moisturize with a cream, and/or seal my ends with a butter. I sleep in big (6 - 8) loose braids or two loose bantu knots. I always wear a scarf.

I'm natural and at night I moisturize, seal my ends, and put it in two big flat twists with a scrunchie on the end. I always wear a bonnet and sleep on a satin pillow case.

I am a straight haired natural. I put my hair in large pin curls and cover my hair with a satin scarf. sometimes I add a light oil to my ends.

Natural here....
I massage my scalp with APB Hurry Up & Grow Oil, Moisturize/Oil ends, twist/braid hair, and cover head with shower cap and satin bonnet even though I sleep on 4 black satin pillows.

Natural.

Every other night I treat my scalp with some sulfur or growth stimulating product. Right now its green magic. Treat my ends to a leave in. Twist in 5 or 6 fat twists then scarf or sleep on the satin pillow cases

Steam from my shower, tie my edges with a scarf, high ponytail, satin pillow. K.O.

I've found that because of the material I sleep on cover with, my hair get's dryer, so will soon invest in bonnet. I'm interested in this scarf that I see advertised on lhcf, little black scarf.
