steamed last night with a mixture of sill dreams vanilla silk, silk elements in the green pack and ORS with some grapeseed oil added to it.

arg. I failed this challenge miserably. I haven't steamed yet.

I just ordered a steamer today, so I guess I'm too late for a fall challenge. I'm in if there's another one coming up though.

Steaming in a few with either: Marie Dean's Vanilla Repair OR Marie Dean's Green Hemp DC'er

Steamed with Jenesis Hair Glosser last night.

Just steamed with diluted Giovanni SAS and coconut oil.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to put all of my hair up to steam. It was easier when I was SL

FINALLY!!! :yay: I steamed today with AOWC and mixed it with SheaMoisture's Purification Masque. My hair felt SO soft!! Loved it! I'm back in this thing!

Even though I started this challenge, I am not any better at steaming than when I was a challenger :nono: But I have determined that I am not a natural steamer. So when the challenge is over I will put my steamer up until I am APL and try it again.

I just find my heat cap so much easier.

But I am glad that you ladies have really done so well with the challenge. :yep:

What exactly is a "natural steamer?" Lol. I have a feeling I'm not either. Matter of fact, none of what I do with my hair is natural for me. I have to force myself to do what's best for my hair and that doesn't always work. But it's ok. I do what I can when I can.

Don't be discouraged. I'm a little curious as to why you said you would try it again when you reach APL, what will change then?

Hey carmeldelight87, I just made the term up. But I call a natural steamer one of those people who steams for the first time and just falls in love with it. It just seems to come to them naturally. I dread my steamer like I used to dread the dryer when I was relaxed

Right now my hair is SL and I usually wear it in about 60 to 100 twists. That takes me a bit of time to do. So on wash day I am reluctant to add anything else to my routine and make it longer. So I am hoping when I am APL my styling time will be shorter so I can at least incorporate the steamer 1x a month.

Maybe I can even cowash in my twist and steam and then retwist quickly, or bun or something fast.

That's my logic anyway.

My daughter got me a Heutiful steamer for an early Christmas gift. I can't wait to see what all the fuss is about. :)

Steamed with Komaza's Intense Moisture Therapy.

Ooooh, ok. That makes sense. Yeah, if you dread it, I can understand. To be honest the only thing I love about steaming is the results. But as for sitting still for 40 mins, not fun. :nono:

That is a LOT of twists, honey! Lol. I couldn't do those often but I guess they're meant to last a while. Anyway, I hope it works out for you when you try it again. :yep:

Is it too late to join this challenge? I just ordered a steamer from SalonsRus.com!

My steamer arrived yesterday from Salons R Us. I can't wait to use it this weekend.

Steamed with Komaza's Pre Treatment on Wednesday. Steamed with a paste of kalpi tone and fenugreek today.

Steamed on Wednesday with Enso's Moss & Marshmallow Serum.

Just steamed with AO GBP (soon finish *pours a lil liquor*) mixed with SD Shea What! My ends were very tangly - I didn't do a protein DC last week, so I made sure not to skip it this weekend.

Steamed earlier with rhassoul clay and will steam in a bit with Jasmine's Hibiscus DC.

About to steam Giovanni Smooth as Silk into these tresses. I've been wearing my hair out and used gel, so my hair needs a good moisture infusion.
