AFROVEDA - Serious Price Hike!

I've been stalking the website lately because I want to try the products. I recently ordered the butter sampler. Anyway, she has several new products that feature Emu Oil and she has made some significant price changes. 32 oz Butters are no longer available! Nope. Most of the 8oz Butters are now $21.95. Yup, you read that right, $12.50 to $21.95.

Looks like a few of the conditioners went down $1, and some of the oils went down by as much as $2 - $3.

Also for you people who have the weird thing about wanting deep conditioners in a tub, the Ashlii Amala is now in a tube like thing. Yup.

I think I'm now priced out.

Least she didn't do a KBB and raise the price and make the package smaller.

OH D@MN! That's some serious price increase My DH is going to have to pay for his own Curl Define! LOL!! I was planning on stocking up (2 32-oz. jars) during BF sales. Along with re-stocking the Miss Bhree Burit Ultra Hydrating Cream (My fave, fave, fave leave-in). It looks like it went up a $1. I want 4 or 5 jars.

And those EMU oil products....mehhh!! I bought some organic EMU oil and add them to the products I want to. I don't see anything 'special about her products....Hummmphhh!

And I see she does have two of the oils on sale. I wish she would sell them in the gallon containers like she once did. I may have to get me a couple of them since they're 17% off.

Holy Crap! I was just on their site yesturday! WTH!!!! That's too much of a price difference and I had just put a halt on everything KBB to switch to AfroVeda, now they went up too. O Hell NO! This is some BULL!

I don't love her products nearly enough to pay these prices. I really think she has outpriced herself. That is a huge increase.

I am just so disappointed in these vendors. I just got bumped down to a lower paying job making half my paycheck and can't afford my mortgage. People times are hard. But a major price hike like that just isn't called for. It will be impossible for me to order stuff from companies that keep increasing their prices like this. This isn't the first AfroVeda price hike either.

Guess I'm going back to mixing my shea butter with these products to make it last longer and adding water to spray bottle products so that lasts longer too.

Oh well. Guess I'll learn how to make my own butters now. I love the shea amla butter, but at that price, I will find an alternative. This is the exact reason why I don't buy Miss Jessie's. Her prices are ridamndiculous.

Wow! Thank goodness these products didn't work for me. I would be steamed right now. That's a HUGE jump in the prices.

ITA! She got rid of a lot of the trial sizes as well. I wasn't impressed with how long it took to get the products and once I did get them, there was only 1 that I would actually reorder....... IDK, Afroveda is not for me. It was a bad experience for me the one and only time I did order........won't happen again....

I'm tryin' to find out myself. I can under a $1-2 increase almost $10 is insane. Wasn't her butter like $9 last year? I'm sure she is going to lose a lot customers.

I would like to know the justification for this increase, because I really feel as if this is ridiculous. Last time I bought from her was in February, and the butters were still $9 then, and I got everything I wanted in 32oz for like $28 each. I was already done with the company after her first price increase - I think her products are good but they aren't the bomb.com for me and I have other products that I like better. I still have half my stash - it's in the fridge so I hope it doesn't go bad. Smh.

Furthermore, her processing time is still two weeks, and last time I ordered it took me a month to get my stuff. Last time she said she increased the price to pay her staff in order to decrease shipping time and increase customer response. She still doesn't answer email, and shipping did not get better. People really need to make long term business plans before they start up companies.

Girls, I've heard so many of you rave about these products that the little monster in me was getting kicked up to try it. I guess that butter sampler I ordered (whenever it gets here) will have to suffice cause I just can't imagine paying the new prices. Especially for a butter that I will need to use on a regular basis SMH. Well, that ends my thirst for something new.

Well I like her products, especially the Gingler Almond and the Shea Amla. I had just switched to AfroVeda from KBB, mainly as a protest against KBB's price hike, now AfroVeda is on the price hike bandwagon too. I just went online to eBay and purchased two items and that will be the last of my AfroVeda love for me. I sent out a message to my YouTuber friends and they are going to HoneyFig online and placing their orders while the price is still low.

The shipping is faster at these other companies anyway. I guess I will be looking for AfroVeda on the Swapping and Exchanging Boards from now on.

i love shea amla mostly for the smell. but trust, i will be just fine using my trusty ole unrefined sheabutter with a little coconut oil and fragrance mixed in. one thing i learned this first year of my healthy hair journey is that if you keep your hair moisturized, seal and protected you're getting length retention. honestly, other than the smell there's nothing that these products would do for my natural hair that a few spritzes of water, a little castor oil and protective style wouldn't do.g

This is Unbelievable. How is she comfortable with raising her prices so steeply like that, especially on her most popular products? I guess she has dedicated customers that she knows will continue to purchase despite the increase... Unfortunately i wont be one of them

I just discussed this issue with Honey Fig store and they wont carry it after they sell out. Hurry and buy before they change their prices too.

There are a few cheap ones left at goodhairmart for those that want to stock up before the prices change.

After I stock up (like 2 products) I wont be buying again.

EmpressRi and Splinta24 and my fav hair guru's so I'm gonna wait to see what they find as good replacements for this.

Cocolatte Moisture Mask --> Oyin Whipped Pudding, Qhemet Burdock Root Butter Cream, Donna Marie Super Butter Cream

Curl Define --> Ohm Sweet Hair Pudding, Bee Mine Bee Hold Curly Butter, Donna Marie Dream Curling Creme

PUR Whipped Gelly --> Komaza Califia Styling Pudding (although they are the same price, Komaza ships in a day or two)

Yeah, I remember someone saying the prices went from 9 bucks to 12 in the beginning of the year AND they get spoiled easily because of the rice milk.

OMG I so agree with you. She not getting my money. I was ok with $12 because other's were $16 but I'll be dammmmmmed to pay $21.50. It must be laced with Crack or Weed or something, lol, because she on that stuff for raising the price like that.

I'm so disappointed. I have to think about what to do, now. Afroveda's shea amla was the business because it helped my hair and cured a skin rash I had been battling. I am saddened by my loss. I am going to look up Bee Mine product reviews.

Great. Since this morning Honey Fig upped their PRICES for the AfroVeda too and now Goodhairmart is sold out.

I can hear a funneral song playing for AfroVeda. They are so dead to me right now.
