This is why I left salons alone, when I hear stories like this, it piss me off, so I have became my own beautician, I have had so many setbacks in the past from salons, so I stay away to keep from going to jail.

it couldnt be me. i remember before i even knew anything about hair care this braider started trimming the hair that way poking out of the braids. i told her to stop and she straight up told me i was being difficult. i was like thats all well and fine but dont bring those scissors near my head lol.
 
Uhhh why did you get micros in the first place? Your hair in your siggy is nice and long. I thought micros where for people with shorter hair? No? *shrugs shoulders*

I hope you got up and left and you are not responding to this thread cause you are now at home taking them down yourself! *looks*

Thats what I was thinking, because i'm MBL and I ask beauticians if I could get micros, they said my hair is too long, and plus I would have to buy the hair extra long right???

If she's too scared to get out of that chair, or say NO to them, she ain't gonna do anything if they mess up her hair.

What the? Her profile says she's in the Bronx. She should have those earrings off by now. Dang! We need an intervention. Who we got in the Bronx area?? :gunner7: She threw up the Bat Signal!

Omg somebody would have to run because i would do a carrie on that place. If every anybody took a razor to my hair they betta run because im gonnn grab it from them and cut them cause there is no need for that.
A razor for weaves yes..even i get nervous for that but for braids hell no i rather see hell taking it out myself than have somebody cut it out my head.

Im in manhattan if i knew where she was i would find her drag her out of there.......I just don't like this at all
 
Listen to these ladies and get out of that chair STAT! Don't play nice, I know i've fallen victim because I was being nice and regretted it. Tell her you don't feel comfortable and would rather leave befoe it's too late.

Wow @ this thread.:nono: OP, I wish I could have been in the area today. I would have offered to help you remove your micros. I wore micros and Senegalese Twists during my transition and I know how important it is to take your time and during the take down process. Razors and Fine-toothed combs are a no-no. I really hope you followed the advice of the other LHCF sisters that suggested that you leave. I really would hate to read a setback thread.
 
WTF??? A razor? How do you even use a razor on hair?

I haven't been in a salon in probably years, just because I have my sister at home to do my hair (and even every now and then I have to check her), but with all these horror stories just popping up all of a sudden, I will be okay if I never walk into a salon again.

OP, please please say you got out of there.
 
I hope you left before any damage was done to your hair! It's okay to leave. Just because someone is offering you a service doesn't mean you must accept it. Someone else can help you take down your braids.
 
If EVER there was a time to "Black" out, NOW would be the time. Girl, I'd show out so tuff up in there...:nono: It wouldn't be pretty, but I'd leave with all my hair. 'course, it's easy to say what I WOULD do. I'm wondering what YOU DID do...or not. :ohwell: *sigh* Please Lord, no setback post. :nono:

shoot if she was in the Bx or Harlem gettin them taken down i would have GLADLY took my dinner break and went up there to help her kick some serious ***!! Razor? shoot only razor that would be around would be the one i hold inside my jaw for them sneak attacks lolol....sorry but i hope OP left, went to Popeyes n got some chicken to relax before taking her own braids out lol

Same thing happened to me back in 2007. Ever since then i started taking down my own braids.
 
So it's 8:30 and no response? We are so disappointed in you girlie! Have we taught you nothing???
