Gorgeous, you have your straightening reggie down to a T. That swang, shine and no damage? You go girl!

Aww thanks so much ladies!!! I 'preciate the kind words :yep:

Newbie here! Your hair is beautiful and an inspiration to me. But you gotta tell me, what do you do to get such fabulous back muscles? I couldn't help but :notworthy notice...

thanks! girl, pushups, pullups. You can also do bent over rows.

Johnson's better pick you or else we're all boycotting their products! Lol! Gorgeous! All the ladies that entered this thread have gorgeous hair. I'm still working on mine.

Did you use Maxiglide with steam and the plate with teeth?

Lol i really do hope they pick me! Thanks! I use the plate with teeth, but I don't use the steam feature.

Whimsy, I have a question.

I went to your blog and saw that you straightened for a gig because that's the look that they want. Do you mind if I ask what kind of shooting it is? It seems like the opposite would be true, that they would want curly hair, especially on a black lady. (Just from what I see on commercials)

Educate me! Your hair looks beautiful both ways, I would just think the curly hair would make you stand out more.

If you go to an audition or casting looking a certain way, and you're booked, you are expected to show up to shoot looking the same way.
They knew me with straight hair, so I can't show up with a different look.
It's a movie, we're shooting the trailer all this weekend. :yep:

I DO see a lot more curls on commercials these days too though.

PS I'm the only lead black woman in the film, I'm STANDING OUT! :lachen:

:bouncy:Congrats on the gig! Your hair looks amaizing- I would never go to the salon again if I were you. And that coconut oil has your hair like :bling: I will have to try that next time I straighten.

So I sucked it up and straightened my hair, despite all the scaredycat ish I was talking HERE.

I used coconut oil and maxiglide....

More pix can be seen on my bloggypoo, but here are the highlights

I'm so happy with it. I just pray I didn't do any further damage to the already damaged front bits.

Swing that hair very pretty & I love the color too....

Happy Hair Growing!

You are trully blessed and talented!!! You and your hair are both beautiful and I'm sure both inside and out!!! Can't wait to see the film....It will be like I know you from LHCF, YT, and whatever else I've followed you on!!! Congratulations and thanks for the information that you provide to newbies like me!:grin::grin::grin::grin: love, love, love it!!!!

You did an absolutely beautiful job!!! :) Love the hair porn!!! I can understand your apprehensiveness regarding straightening since the episode with the stylist. Was the EVCO used as a heat protectant or did you use a separate protectant? Congratulations on your continued success!!! Let us know when the movie comes out. :)

Your hair is really beautiful and congratulations on your gig! Is your hair layered, how did you get those beautiful curls on the ends and do you have a video showing how you did this? If not please make one or post link. TIA and thanks for sharing!
