Why do folks think calling me

nappyheaded is an insult. I always tell them. "Thanks for noticing"

They think it's an insult because they are stupid.

Especially if they are black and themselves, their mamas, daddies and their whole family most likely have nappy hair naturally.

Yeah I know, my stepdad does that to me almost on a daily basis. I'm always like "Okay, and....?" I guess those people don't realize how stupid they sound. I work hard for my hair, and I'm proud of every strand that I have so I just brush it off.

I don't understand why black people try to insult other people about having the same texture of hair?

(I understand that we all don't have the same hair type but you get where this is going....)

It's like me calling you nappy headed when we really have the SAME texture, I just put chemicals in it.
