Who The (bleep) Did I Marry?

I'm bingewatching this show now, does anyone else watch? I'm not sure if it's still airing.

But seriously, these women have a clear pattern :look: And of course, the sociopaths that crossed them.

I just watched this black woman who moved a man in "to save on rent" while her daughter spent the summer with her dad. I think it said married within 4 months. What could possibly go wrong?

:wallbash:

You gotta watch. Most that I've seen have been murderers, rapists but then they have some arsonists and frauds mixed in too. And even a few have been women with male victims.

Oh I'm definitely in. Season 4-6 are on Hulu.

Now what, now??? What season and episode is this???

I used to see commercials for this show all the time but never really got into it. I might need to reconsider.

It was S4 E8 but I need to double check. I used to see the commercials too but always forgot to watch.

I don't understand some of this decision making. Your husband is in jail.....why not remove all the money from the joint bank account while you have a chance. No, you think its all good and then he gets a chance to empty the bank accounts. He was in jail for stalking but you didn't think he would do something so vengeful??? I would think he's capable of anything at that point.

I don't understand the lack of self preservation.

The lady who accepted daily nightly drinks from her husband and didn't think anything was suspicious when she kept waking up groggy?? Come on now....smh

o_O

Still watching though. :look:

6 months, really? I thought some of these people had a few years together at least. Then again, I wasnt paying attention to the full timelines when things were going well. Lol

I think I'm watching this episode now, but it is season 5, episode 13. It mentions the daughter was a latchkey kid and accused the mom's husband of rape. Is this the same one?

ETA: this fool said contingent on the results of the DNA test she was going to divorce him. Divorce should have been the next move automatically if you are accused of raping my daughter.

It's a mix. Some of the episodes mentioned really fast engagements, marriages or moving in together. Others discussed the fact that the couples were together for years.

In those instances of being together for years, all the signs were there that something about the person was not right, but they usually ignored it or got manipulated enough to not press further.

The takeaway from this and countless other threads on here is that desperate people can be easily manipulated.

I am just getting to this episode. smh. She says she had no idea this monster was in her house....she didn't KNOW him to even determine if he could be a monster!!! Lord. You move this strange man in with you and your teen daughter.

I am afraid to continue to find out what he did to them.

Who marries a man "trying to get on his feet?" What is the point of this???

THE SISTER SAYS.....'EHHHH I DON'T BELIEVE IT..HE'S JUST NOT LIKE THAT.'

None of you women know him. I'm so angry at this. This is why I say black women are absolutely complicit in the harm of black girls. They do horrible jobs of protecting their girl children. smh. I am not waiting on some DNA test. Sexual assault doesn't have to include penetration and the fact that she allowed the lack of penis penetration to sew seeds of doubt into her daughter.....:angry2::angry2::angry2:

I hate this.

ETA
There is no way I could do this show after some man I chose murdered my baby. Y'all.....

Right! Can you imagine what that must have done to her daughter for her mom to take that course of action and also doubt the assault even took place?

The corrective measures should have been put in place from the beginning. He should have never been able to have that much access to her daughter at all.

That was heartbreaking to watch.

I meant, they may have stayed together for years but the initial courtship/marriage happened very quickly. They married quickly then had children or whatever and by that time, they didn't want to admit that something was wrong.

Yes, girl. I thought it was going to end in the sexual assault :nono: but it kept going. All this for summer nookie!

And some of these sisters, friends, mothers were the worst advice givers ever. Not just the black ones either. Just so much value placed on having a man that even when the wives started waking up, they'd lull her back to sleep.

oh ok....thanks for clarifying! And you're sure right about that....:lachen:

Because I will be watching and then one minute it says they met, then the next two minutes the voiceover woman will say they got married, had a baby, or both.

Then the ones where they continue to have baby after baby....ain't no way. :nono:

That "Insufficient Funds" episode was a mess. I have so many questions. Moving is expensive and stressful! I'm trying to figure out how the couple had all this money to keep moving from city to city, when the guy was barely employed and the woman wasn't working. Then on top of that had three or four kids back to back and still mentioned he wasn't making enough money to cover all the bills.

I just finished watching the "World Wide Web Of Lies" episode now and I knew someone that did something like that. I was very shocked when one of my friends told me to Google him a few months ago and all the links about the crimes popped up.

http://www.lakenewsonline.com/news/...ges-filed-against-former-camden-county-deputy

http://www.krmsradio.com/former-cop-returned-to-missouri-to-face-sex-child-porn-charges/

I had no idea he had a stroke until I Googled him again just now to post the link.

I wonder if his wife left him. :look:

My boss says I need to watch My Crazy Ex. He says it's a bit more lighthearted, but still delivers more tricked people. Lol.

I looked for it on the Firestick using voice search and found it for free on some app Ive never used before.

I'm almost done with season 6, so I'm looking forward to starting that.
