You ladies...a girlfriend of mine whom I've been TRYING to encourage to join....and, begrudgingly, my SO.....he's not really interested but he is supportive anyway.
GIRL! I thought my boyfriend was the only one! He is for the length but against the transition. He likes long straight hair but hopefully he will learn to love my naps, and if not he gets the boot! Everyone pretty much encourages me to grow and not to chop All in all I think my family is big on hair care and everyone pretty much takes care of thier hair.Arcadian said:My boyfriend is my partner in crime. A man that will try MTG with you is a man that really loves you
He gets to enjoy the benefits of my journey so of COURSE hes going to be supportive. He's learned quite a bit along the way himself as well.
My mother is also very supportive, we talk about it often. I've never had long hair in my life, so its exciting for both me and for her. Not long ago we had a discussion after she saw a picture I sent her (she felt she failed me as a child..but I can't blame her for that, she just didn't know, you know?) And she tried, and she loved me bald or not.
Even though she's always had long hair she does benefit from what I learn. (especially now that she has lupus)
So I feel very lucky to have a wonderful support system. If I could only get my father to stop using afrosheen though....
