After achieving your hair goals ...

Some of the cattiness makes me want to go back to lurk mode like I was for the last who knows how many years but I have I remember its a few, not many. Between the Relaxed Hair Thread, Ayurvedic Thread, Hair Product Exchange and the skin care forum, I can't leave.

I'm sticking around, too. My reasons are the same as Lesedi. :) The marriage and motherhood threads give me hope. :)

And like you, ilong, I get a little worried when people stop posting without warning. I understand that we all have lives off line, it's just a little disconcerting to see someone go from posting everyday to not at all.

For the most part, I really like the people here. I enjoy the stories and the help. I also hope to one day sport one of those nifty Forty+ badges I see in siggies every so often. :)
 
I actually learned what I needed to know in 2009 when I decided to go natural, but I looooove looking at long hair. I'm staying for the hair-porn!

Slightly off-topic: Anyone notice that many of the WL+beyond ladies hardly post pictures/updates anymore? That makes me :(
 
I will probably be a bit less active because it is in general easier to maintain than to retain and so I will have less questions.

On the other hand, I think it is important to stick around and not only give advice but also give encouragement. Seeing all of these long heads of hair regardless of whether it is relaxed, texlaxed, whether there is heat use, dye use or even the use of a comb has helped me to feel encouraged. I can enjoy my hair and retain length at the same time and there is nothing wrong with that.

There is also a lot of variety in membership. It is all women and their united goal of long and healthy hair (whatever long may mean to you). That is what has attracted me here.

This is also the only forum where I have ever seen a member who had classic length hair or the mention of naturals who had knee length hair besides Aevin Dugas. That is just jaw dropping :spinning:.

So, maybe possibly one day I may have a siggy pic of me with classic length hair and offer someone else encouragement that our hair has no limits, only the limits we have been taught to place on it in our minds :drunk:.

I love this forum, I was a lurker for such a long time before actually subscribing. Now, it's like I'm being tube feed so much info on various topics and can contribute to almost all threads. Who knew there was a nail thread?? Now I have the best hardener, I can contribute in the weight loss food thread, love, love the political thread and the many insightful comments that are made. And dammit, I will be part of my cities meet and greet!!...lol
 
I love LHCF. I love when it's ratchet and catty and love when it calm and caring. I love all the different personalities here. I get all my entertainment news here lol. It's soo much more than just a hair forum. I don't know yall and never seen yall, but you all are kinda like my honorary sisters.

I'm totally satisfied with my hair and I will stay. Plus no one else understands when I rave about a new conditioner!
 
I'm staying. I love being here. Even the attempts at cattiness from a few don't bother me anymore. I'll laugh at somebody and keep it moving. Hair is my hobby and I like being in touch with people that get it.

No secret. Someone wanted to get rid of a ton of stuff, so I swooped in. I still have yet to try anything except the curl enhancing smoothie. :lol: I look at the exchange forum literally every day now... :look:

I don't know if I answered this before but after I reach my goal, I'll still be here because I'm not too old to learn.
 
I don't know if I actually have a serious goal. Just don't want to be bald headed.

I'll prob be posting here until the wheels fall off.

Gonna start visiting that section of the forum. I'll be a lifetime member as long as i'm alive, Even if there is drama once it's not directed at me i'll KIM and even if it is i'll still KIM. I'm glad the day i discovered this wonderful site, sometimes i get bored but i always come back for more. It's my cult and i'm sucked all the way in; better this than something else.
