Who still uses Phyto hair products?

Luscious! It looks wonderful. Hopefully, you have a good Protein Treatment to help combat that Breakage you say you "keep" experiencing and get it under Control. And hopefully the Trims will be kept

I hate to hear that you have had such negative experiences "Relaxing." I see you have the Phyto Intense Nutrition.

You might want to incorporate Porosity Control into your regimen if you haven't done so already.

Hopefully, Phyto will become your HG for Relaxing Treatments and that you'll get good results.:yep:

I only have breakage in the two weeks following a relaxer. It's crazy. I really hope the trim will be kept so that I don't have to get anymore for a long time.

How frequently should I use porosity control? I think I'll pick some up from Sally's tomorrow. I live 10 minutes away from it.

I really hope that Phyto is the answer to my prayers. I will need to contemplate between index 2 and index 1 for my next touch up and whether or not I can make it as a texlaxer.

I'm glad things worked out for you. I have been using phyto relaxer with great results every single time for so many years now, i always wonder what someone else did differently to not like it.

In the future, I suggest basing your scalp if it feels that tight after relaxing - protection is a good thing. You should really consider using the porosity control as suggested and make sure you deep condition - that ws a whole lot of washing you did last night.

I am part of the PHYTO FOREVER girls! hope you'll be joining us.

I will totally base next time. I didn't because my new growth was ferocious. It's not a good excuse though. I should have taken the time. I could just beat myself.

I've never wanted to be on a bandwagon so much as I've wanted to be on this Phytowagon. I just seems so promising. A couple years ago when everyone around me was going natural I proposed this theory of being as close to natural without actually being natural in regards to self maintenance. I really feel like the Phyto line falls right in line with my theory. I think this close to natural without being natural thing is really working out for me. LoL.

I would have followed up with it right after I DC'd after doing my Relaxer. It is good for lowering your ph balance and closing your cuticle. The Bottle says it is a Corrector and Conditioner Controls Perm, Color and Relaxer Results. Use before a Chemical Service to Prevent Chemical Shock. To Equalize Hair's Porosity and Ensure Predictable Results.

Personally, I use weekly, after every DC Treatment, because I DC with Heat and wish to close/seal my cuticle afterwards. Incorporating this simple Step into my Regimen has taken my Hair to the Next Level.

Don't get too carried away - you are indeed relaxed - with the good stuff:grin:

If you are getting breakage two weeks after relaxing, you need to be careful about your balance - protein and moisture - and make sure your ends aren't waving like a flag - that's just asking for breakage. If you wait 72 hours, then when it's time, I highly recommend a deep mositurzing conditioner - you might even consider light protein and deep moisture. Most definitely use the Porosity Control. What leave in do you use.

Now that you've used phyto keep taking care of your beautiful hair.

Seriously? I want/need to be on some next level stuff. I already feel like Phyto has put me on another level, but if you are using phyto and you feel like pc got you in even better shape it's worth a try for sure.

seriously, you phytochicks are the best. i will get some pc this weekend. I usually use Aphogee pro vitamin leave in or soft and beautiful leave in. they both have great humectant botanicals and keratin. i always need a little shot of keratin. My daily moisturizer is in my siggy. have you ever used phytomist. I saw it at the B&B Works sale and almost bought it, but I hadn't heard of any reviews.

I know alot of the girls at work Swear by the PhytoNectar. They all say that stuff is the Truth! You may want to read up on that one if B&B Works has it as well.

Don't you judge me...

Thanks Dare!

I've dipped and dabbled in all of Phyto's products. The only things that's been a thumbs down is the relaxing balm. :nono: My hair was like what da ya think your doing with that???

Phytomist is wonderful - if you use it, you'll love it. I use a few spritzs everyday.

I hear you on the relaxing balm - but I think it's for people who already have straight hair but get excited at a little frizz.

I used the relaxing balm after shampooing with the Phytobrush and then I blowdried. It worked, but now that I've tried SMB I don't know that I would use the relaxing balm again.

i don't know everything, but i know enough to listen to you and try the product. so far your advice on phyto has not steered me wrong. I can say though, that I don't like the phytospecific poos. Intense Nutrition does not lather. I sure tried. Perhaps it's not meant to lather. Perhaps it just cleanses once it's rubbed on the hair and the hair just absorbs the nutrients. It's not like other shampoos at all--plus it has ALS. I've yet to try my vital force though. I'm just trying to use up all of my products so that I don't waste money.

Hi NewFlowers,
I have always wondered about this. HOw is the finish, and how do you use it? Wet hair, dry for moisture, etc.

TIA!

OH, and the Anti-Frizz is actually good as a humidity blocker. I use it most in the humid summer months. Doesn't really straighten my hair more than usual, BUT ...it certainly keeps the frizz at bay when its starts to get humid. It is heat activated, so I use it usually if I am blow drying and then flat ironing my hair. I also use the Bain de Terre Anti Frizz Serum, which also seems to block humidity and works a bit like Phytolisse.

Lovie: I would like to know more about the Bain de Terre? I thought I read somewhere that you said alot of their products contain alot of Cones and Produce Build Up? Would you PM me please? I don't want to Highjack this Thread, but I would like to talk to you. Thanks:yep:

copped the phytomist today at B&B Works. It only cost me $6.50. So sweet. i also got the phytojoba express masque and you were SO right about that too. My hair was like butter after only 5 minutes. I used it after the vital force poo. Vital force did not actually lather no matter how I tried it. It's pretty milky, so I just used it like a co-wash.

I'm learning more about phyto products, but I can vouch for the vitamins. I'm just finishing my first bottle and I can already tell the difference.

I use the Vital Force too and the shampoo is tricky. Sometimes after I've put the shampoo in my hair I have to wet my hair some more...I've also added a tiny bit of water to the shampoo in my hands and worked up a lather and then applied to the hair.

How come some shampoos act like this? Is it because it has oil in it?

Yesterday I bought 4 Phytocitrus, 8 Phytokarite and 10 Phytobaume!! I also bought some Phyto shampoos. I got 5 PhytoSpecific conditioners, 2 PhytoSpecific shampoos. I'm sure I purchased a few other random Phyto/PhytoSpecific items but I'm too tired to do an inventory! It was hard enough just to fit all that in the bathroom. I'm going to try and sell some of it on eBay!

This is funny. I thought of that too........but I know it was a lie I was telling myself just to bring more conditioner into the conditioner cave...:wallbash:

So I actually behaved. I have acquired:

- Phytospecific Vital Force
- Phytospecific Beauty Styling Creme
- Phytospecific Oil Sheen
- Phytosesame Mask
- Phytocitrus Mask
- Phytojojoba Mask
- Phytokarite Mask

Grand total: $2.50. Well, not really, but it was something ridiculously inexpensive for the purchase. I really had no need for what I got,as I am already stocked up on Phyto products that I like from the regular price, so I had to stop myself or risk getting a divorce for having too much conditioner.

Oh well. Its funny because I remember when I went to Tahiti (which has a strong French presence) there were CRAZY phyto products I had never seen before. And I thought I was safe!! I went bananas and my husband was like , WHY LORD WHY??!!! CANT WE BE FREE FROM PHYTO???!!

Nope.

With that said, I am always watching..waiting..wondering.....:lurking:
They have a Phyto coloring system. I still havent been able to find it here in the US...

I will gladly take some of that off of your hands! Lemme know!

You are so right! But there's no way I can use all that conditioner. I'm going to send some of it to my BFF in Arizona.

Yeah. If you go on the Phyto french websites they have a brand new products. It's an overnight conditioning mask. The french get all the new stuff a year or more before we even hear about it. I"m jealous.

I got phytojoba as a recommendation from Newflowers. It's lovely. So moisturizing. I also got the vital force shampoo, but it's got a sulfate in it. It doesn't lather though. It's so crazy. I just use it like a co wash because it like the ingredients. I'm contemplating returning it though and just getting more conditioner. Lord knows i've got enough CON to last me over a year, and I do miss my beloved Mizani botaniphy shampoo.

Oh? Tell me more about this phytojoba! I NEED moisture.

Wait until payday, IMMA 'bout to go crazy with some Phyto and then try to get it past my DH!
