Who still uses Phyto hair products?

Ladies,

Just to let you know my bald spot is filling in! I have fuzzy baby hairs coming in and I am so excited!!
I am using the serum + the phytonpanere

But I wanted to ask, did anyone break out from using the phytophanere??
I have been on it for five weeks without a problem but last week I suddenly started getting these painful bumps on my face. Maybe its also because I have been taking 2 in the morning as prescribed and an additional 2 in the evening?? But I have stopped doing that from today and will stick to the recommended dosage.

i went back to phyto index 2 for my last touch -up. I used ORS no-lye for a while and had no complaints with it. BUT i do remember my hair grew much longer when i used the phtyorelaxer, so i went back to it. Hoping to have that same luck and more this time!

I've been taking Phytophanere off and on for a few years now. I've never had any problems with breakouts. But of course I take the recommended dosage of two per day only. Taking any more is just a waste of the pills in my opinion. Also, I didn't/don't see alot of growth taking the pills BUT my hair is in fantastic condition due in part to the pills (and all the other Phyto products I use). For me they just make my hair shiny and lustrous. These are now a staple product for me, regardless of the price!!!

Oh, and if I were you, I'd stick with the recommended dosage. Hopefully you won't have any more problems with breakouts! Hope that helps!!

New to the site, but lurking since April. I really liked what I heard about the phytorelaxer and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, I coudn't find a local stylist that used it and I was in between stylists myself. Long story short, tried to self-relax with the assistance of my husband. He took forever to put it in and I didn't neutralize well. All this equals broken out nape. Fast forward 6 weeks, found a stylist who would put it in and I LOVE the results. My hair is bone straight which I wasn't expecting and feels so silky. I didn't burn, which is so a plus because I used to burn all the time with just about every relaxer I've ever had. I have also been taking the vitamins for about 6 weeks and I'm super impressed with the results. Between the vitamins & chlorella, I've gained almost 4 inches since April. Just wanted to acknowledge all the great comments and information to those who contributed to this thread.

I am still going strong from my Little Coup during the B&BW discontinue Sale. I had enough for myself and enough to share.

I am using the Masques and I have the Amazing Botanical Scalp Stimulant that has really helped relieve sore, itchy, dry scalp. It's an oil that Phyto consider a Pre-Poo Treatment. It smells really strong like perhaps tea tree, peppermint and a few other EO's.:spinning: But the very first time I used it, my Scalp felt Wonderful and has been feeling better with each application.

I apply it. Put on a Plastic Cap. And leave it on for about 30 minutes and then Co-Wash and Proceed. It's really a Great Product.:yep:

Since I only do my hair weekly, and don't use Phyto Products Exclusively. Phyto is part of My Rotation. However, I do use the Scalp Stimulant Weekly.

For those who've used the different lines, how would you recommend deciding whether to go with the regular line or the phytospecific line?

I have used a mix of the product lines -- just whatever product met my hair's needs at a given time.

Since the phyto relaxer is made using egg molecues, can someone who is allergic to eggs still use it? I'm thinking about switching but not if I can't use it and end up with a horrible reaction.

So, I just wanted to report back that this phyto relaxer is still working well for me. I'm at 7 weeks post and it's a breeze. normally i'd be crying and beggin for a relaxer and cheating on my 12 week stretch promise to myself. but i'm going well, and my roots are tame. i don't get that though. how could the relaxer affect my new growth? my hair over all is a lot more moisturized. it responds well to treatments and products, but this change in my new growth is crazy. i don't use growth aids and i only take a regular multivitamin. so i can't attribute it to that. anyone else experience tamer newgrowth while on this relaxer

Phyto ladies.... I just wanted to ask if anyone has taken the BKT plunge and how the treatment was affecting their phyto hair....

Hi Ladies,

Do you remember a few weeks ago when I was seeking help for my bald spot and all?

Well I have been taking the phytophanere and used the serum for thinning hair (on that spot)....

I am happy to report: BALD SPOT FILLED IN!!!

Granted, it is still really short hair there but then I am so encouraged to see hair strands - nice and strong - sprouting there in abundance. I will keep at it and hopefully my edges will also look better.

Congratulations on filling in the bald spot!

I just ran out of my Andrew Lessman Hair, Skin & Nail Vitamins, and was thinking of trying the Phytophanere vitamins next. Glad it worked so well for you.

I Have quite a few of the Products/Conditioners. Have Never Used the Vitamins but Hear they Perform Fabulously. In fact, everyone that I talked to who used them really, really liked them.:yep:

I had looked at them a while back, but never purchased.:perplexed
Maybe if I slowed my roll on buying other stuff, I could give 'em a try.

Apparently some of the stuff in the phytospecific line is also suitable for natural heads. Do you know any naturals using anything from these lines?

I have a Good Friend that is Natural and she loves some of the phytospecific products, this is one of her favorites. She swears by this product. HTH

Thanks IDare.

I am on a long stretch till December and I just wanted to know if the phyto line products are as effective on my NG as on my relaxed hair...

Also I have not decided whether this stretch will turn into a logn term transition...:perplexed
I have very fine hair strands and I find my relaxed hair to be too thin and limp :nono:

It will work on your new growth, but you may have to use different products. Phytojoba mask is very moisturizing, but it's not heavy enough for my new growth. Phytokarite if used exactly as they say in the instructions works very well on my new growth. I don't use it in the first 4 weeks after a relaxer because it's a little too good at taming (it makes my hair limp--but soft). I don't know how the shampoos will shape up with my new growth. I just started to incorporate the shampoos, so we'll see how they do in this stretch. Sorry to leave you hanging so long in this thread. I haven't been on here in a good 4 weeks.

Also, i wanted to let everyone know that I relaxed again with Phyto Index 2, and that I'm Phy Phyto Phy for life. I didn't like the results of Index @ though. My hair was just too straight and too silky, and I regret going that straight. I will be switchign to Index 1 for the sake of thicker/more voluminous hair. My hair is just too fine to be relaxed that straight. (Just in case anyone is debating on what Index to use).

I also think Phyto destroys Phytospecific in the products competition. Hardly any of the Phytospecific products make my hair feel as good at the Phyto products. But I will say that the Phytospecific Moisturizing styling balm doesn't tame fly aways like no other, and that you only need a little bit (about a pea sized about). I've been using a sample pack for weeks now. It's still half full.

Lucious, I totally agree. I prefer the Phyto line over the Phytospecific. My main products are from the Phyto line and I use a product or two (or three or four!) from the Phytospecific line. I also use ORS products (at 8 to 16 weeks post) but I will never stray from Phyto. It's just been too good to my hair. I love it. And my hair has never looked better!!!

Phyto shampoos....umm, they are da truth. Needless to say, if I use nothing else (tho I have used several of their condishs...I use their shampoo faithfully.

I use Phytophanere vitamins faithfully. I have not missed a dose in 2 months. When I run out I plan to try the Cap'Energy & Serum for my thinning in the crown. Anyone have results or testimony from the Cap'Energy?

Amen! It's all I could ever ask for in a shampoo. Do you use any others aside from Phytorhum? I was thinking of experimenting with other formulas.

I know this is late. But I have never had problems either. I have read of peple having problems with yeast infection if doubling up too much on the dosage. So I would stick within the recommended allowance. I've always had increased rapid hair and nail growth with just the regular dosage.

I am a late poster, once again.

...BUT ....

..WELCOME !!!!! :)

I too lurked for a few years before I actually came out with a random post...leave Phyto to bring one out of the corners. :o)

Happy hair journey.

I have recently come upon a great deal of Phyto products to add to the onees that I already had (thanks to a wonderful pj angel), and so I'm thinking of going all Phyto for the next few months.

I was wondering what you ladies use for protein? I have the Phytobaume conditioner, which says that it's protein enriched, but I'm not sure how strong it is -- it's not a reconstructor.

TIA

My stylist last summer used phyto/phytospecific products on my hair and i loved the way my hair felt, very light and full, never that coated feeling heavy feeling I would get with stuff like KC humecto. unfortunately, I guess u have to know what u are doing bc when I used them at home the results weren't the same.

There are a few phtyo products I still use at home tho. I love the Phytospecific moisturizing leave in spray. and it smells nice too. And I love the phytospecific shea butter styling creme. I have 4b dry hair and sometimes I like something heavy to control my hair and its kinda like a weightless grease.

I found that their products worked better on my hair once i was several weeks post with my relaxer. My freshly relaxed hair never responded well to them.
