Gold and Hot works for me - it doesn't allow you to turn temperature too high so you avoid burning your hair:yep:

I have the new Conair Infiniti and I love it! I also have a Solia, which is my second favorite.

i voted "other". i like my T3. it's only 1" wide so when i need to straighten my roots a little after a roller set, it's great.

Im using one that is not mentioned here. I only use it 2 times a year but when i do use it, it gets the job done. Its an Andis. Its only about $20. I cant afford the other ones mentioned here.

I'm telling ya'll try the Paul Mitchell Ion Express Pro...all ceramic with a silicon strip. Make my hair look like I went to the salon, and it stays that way...no humidity issues.

I am so getting this one sweetie! Does it have a temp. control on it?

Okay..:hide: Promise you won't laugh..you have to promise! I bought Helen of Troy ceramic plate flatiron from Sallys. I used it once and thought it was okay. Then started reading all yal post and wanted to hang w/ the big dogs *(sedu, fhi, chi, paul mitchell etc)* but, decided instead to give mine a try. I used it on the second to highest setting and is very pleased :dance7: w/ my results so I'll stick w/ it a while..**sigh** there it is..no laughing..I'm serious!

Christelyn..you go' stop starting stuff in here..I'm trying so hard not to buy that Paul Mitchell and every time I come in here I see your posts and start looking it up like the price done changed..Girl..I'm going to send my child to college next year..

Meanwhile**opening another tab to check price of PM!

Aside from the $10 drugstore varieties, the only real flatiron I've owned is a FHI. It has adjustable heat up to 450 degrees, smooth, snag-free plates, and it's lasted 3+ years which is far more than I can say about my previous purchases.

I've heard great things about SEDU and have been frankly just waiting for my FHI to die to get it but it won't give up :lachen:

I just got my PIIIIINK FHI in the mail (got it at a steal, with free shipping too!) I've been eyeing this iron for the past YEAR and finally got it...

...while I'm fresh in braids. :lachen:

:nono:

But I've seen and heard great things about it, so I'm very excited! I'm hoping that this will help me transition to natural more easily. :yep:

Ok a little off topic but... I have been using a Bed Head Rockstar flat iron (don't laugh, I'm a newbie) that I bought from Target for around $60.
After reading all the comments from the Sedu heads I ordered this one
http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Pink_Revol_d5633.html and I can't wait to get it.
I hope it lives up to the hype I've built up on my mind. :)

I'm currently using a Biosilk 1 inch flat iron. It works well. I've always been a fan of Gold 'N Hot flat irons.

Mine was my GVP it was awesome i never used it on its highest setting. I had a maxiglide be for it and it was great too but the steam didn't do anything for me and the pins started ripping out my curls. I don't do the comb chase or follow method I use my wooden bristle brush and follow it closely (like right up on it) with the flat iron. This seems to make any flat iron I use work a lot better :) I have fine 3c-ish hair.

I haven't owned any of the others on the poll, so I guess my favorite personally is my Amika iron.

However, the real favorites are the ones that hair stylists use lol. I wish I knew what they were using because then I'd go and get THOSE instead.

I want to try Sedu, GHD, Babyliss, andddd maybe Solia.

I'll wait till my Amika dies first.

I voted for Maxiglide. I'm not sure about flat ironing my hair unless steam is used. I am curious though about the Chi and Sedu. :spinning:
