My family hasn't seen me in a year. My hair will be almost at BSL by Thanksgiving. I'm going to wear it down and say "I guess co-washing WON'T make it break off" when the naysayers comment.

Right! My mom has kept saying for these past couple of years that all the washing will "dry out the natural oils" in my hair and cause it to fall out. Hopefully, when she sees my hair at Thanksgiving (haven't seen my family in about a year either) I can finally show her that my "natural oils" sucked any ways and never did me a lick of good for my hair in the past.

dye it all kinda of funky colours (semi of course) and wear it out more often. i think once u get to brastrap then any length is possible. once ur there its all good. 2 be honest i dont really care about length as i know it'll come in time. i'm juss looking after my ends. i wanna experiment more with styles thats about it..i'm boring!

And watch, your hair will surpass hers in length and she'll start wondering what did you do to get your hair so long! I think she must be doing something wrong for her hair not go grow beyond BSL.

Today, I am at my mom's house and she used to always make fun of me for moisturizing my hair everyday. Well today i took down half of my wrap and she goes "Its as silky as corn!" (whatever that means). And then when we were in Walmart she was all like " So, would you recommend reading those hair magazines?"

This is coming from a woman who cares NOTHING about hair. I felt special.

No matter how big or small I think we all have those moments we are looking forward to when you reach your length. What are yours?

As petty as this sounds, I want to go back to my hometown and walk the mall when I reach WSL. I know this particular chick (who is always in the mall) who thought the world revolved around her because she had BSL hair. I just wanna see this chick (for 2 secs) and hit her with the " yeah look at me I'm the 'nappy headed' girl who you thought you was above!"I will do anything to see the look on her face.

Ok, my hair goal is to walk around on campus and show all the black ladies who didn't want to listen to my hair tips that, "You really missed out on a good thing!" Show all of my friends that they should've listened to me. I should be reaching BSL by May.

Wear the cutest spring/summer outfit and let my hair hang to my waist! Let the wind blow in my hair and watch all the boys look in amazement.
