what is your 2013 hair goal

What was your hair goal for 2012? APL
Did you make your goal? Not quite. I have until Dec.
What is your 2013 goal? full APL
What are you planning to do to reach your goal? Continue with low manipulation styles, M & S ends and not straying from regimen.

:lachen:@ZebraPrintLover tasked me with coming up with another alternative, but I couldn't think of one. I told her this shortened version has been taken and cannot be successfully re-purposed.

@ the bolded: my first thought was "well, everyone should be welcome here regardless of their inclinations" my second thought was "well, what has being a tranny got to do with hair?" and i kept thinking, till it clicked!

Ogoma and claud-uk

Im am not about to play with yall :lachen:
Can you think of a better word Claud UK cause Ogoma hasnt been on her grind with finding me a word to use LOL

My 2012 goal is APL- I am currently past shoulder and approaching APL
I still have until the end of December to make APL. I do the length check around Christmas
At the end of 2013 I should have hit bra strap length and be approaching BSB
To make goals I will continue to protective style, do scalp massages, moisture and seal, some GHE and provide good healthly hair care practices!

I'm transitioning w/o BCing and my 2012 goal is APL with a stretch goal of Full APL. I don't want to reach APL by a thin strand of hair, I'd like it to be at a nice and full APL by December. I'm progressing well towards this goal as I'm a bit past APL in some areas but I think it will take until at least March until I'm full APL stretched.

My 2013 goal is BSL and approaching BSB. I will continue to PS my way to my goal lengths and maintain my good hair regimen of balancing protein with moisture.

What is your hair goal for 2012?

What is your 2013 goal?

What is your 2013 goal? Hip length

What was your hair goal for 2012? MBL by the end of the year..right now I'm right in the middle is BSL so I should be grazing MBL by the end of the year
Did you make your goal? So far so good..hopefully I will make it
What is your 2013 goal? WL by next summer..WHIP length by the end of the year hopefully

What was your hair goal for 2012? WL

Did you make your goal? Yes!!!

What is your 2013 goal? I'm dreaming of full WL. But realistically, I will reach pass HL in the back and full MBL along the sides.

What are you planning to do to reach your goal?

Low manipulation
Moisturize 2x a week
Co-wash 1-2x a week
Shampoo once a week
Biotin 10,000mcg tablets
Multivitamins w/zinc & cooper
2 Iron pills every 2-3 days
Exercise at least 3x a week
Drink 8 glasses of water a day
Scalp massage at least 2x a week

My goal for 2012 was soulder length and nope, didn't make that! My goal for 2013 is APL. I plan on transitioning completely to al natural products and using nothing synthetic, only because I believe that certain ingrediants irritate my scalp and have caused me to lose hair in some places. I plan on using lots of ayurvedic herbs and some specialty infused oils.... Mostly, I just plan on using natural products, avoid putting much of anything on my scalp and lightly, very lightly relaxing my hair. Mixing it with mostly conditioner, heavily oiling the hair prior to treatment and washing it out in 3 or less minutes. I think I'll also stop washing my hair so frequently, just once a week, and possibly blow dry it after every wash to stretch.

What was your hair goal for 2012? SL

Did you make your goal? Yes, but I should be full SL by the end of the year.

What is your 2013 goal? APL and beyond.

What are you planning to do to reach your goal? Not using heat (I may cheat once or twice), protective styling (braids, twists, wigs), frequent co washing (2-3 times a week), M/S twice daily, monthly protein treatments, dc treatments (1-2 times per week), trims (as needed).

Snap, I just realized that by December next year I could be WL.... if I'm really really good (on point with everything including water intake, diet and exercise... maybe even MN!)

I'm TWA status right now...I'd love 6 inches of stretched hair by the middle of 2013. May the lord provide :).

2012? I didn't have length goal. I just wanted healthier hair.
Did I make my goal? It's still a work in progress. Getting rid of split ends. My hair is much better than earlier in the year.
2013? For now, BSL is my 2013 goal!
How? Developing a regimen that focuses on the protection of ends. (1)Sealing ends with oils and keeping them moisturized. (2) Protective style with a focus on weaves (I think). (3) Help from you all!

What was your hair goal for 2012?
BSL

Did you make your goal?
Yes, I made it! I anticipate a good trim at the end of the year that will leave me at BSL.

What is your 2013 goal?
Full MBL by Dec 2012. Re-grow the breakage at my temples.

What are you planning to do to reach your goal?
Healthy hair growth from the inside out.
Proper diet, exercise, hydration, and use of vitamins.
I am not too much for protective styling right now, but we are moving next year to a different climate so that might change.
For my hairline I plan to be very gentle and monitor the growth closely.

Hair goal was APL

I think I made my goal. Hoping by years end to have full APL

2013's goal is to be full BSB. As in, completely covering my shoulder blades.

I will avoid blow dryers and flat irons and keep roller setting.

What was your hair goal for 2012? Apl
Did you make your goal? Not yet, still have about 2 inches
What is your 2013 goal?bsl
What are you planning to do to reach your goal? Wash, roller set, Moisturize, bun, sleep on my satin pillow case.

What was your hair goal for 2012? To reach WL

Did you make your goal? Not yet. Hoping to retain 1.5 inches to get me there by December 31st.

What is your 2013 goal? To reach full hip length when stretched

What are you planning to do to reach your goal? Continue a low-manipulation reggie and continue to focus on my health (fitness, vegetarian diet, supplements, and water)

What was your hair goal for 2012? BSL by December

Did you make your goal?
Hoping to be at least BSB by December

What is your 2013 goal?
MBL

What are you planning to do to reach your goal?
Buns, Buns, and more buns! Also hoping to try out weaves for the first time in my life. Will also probably start using castor oil on my scalp once again. Diet is already in affect and will definitely be upping the exercise.

What was your hair goal for 2012?
Goal kept changing- aimed for WL, then got a cut/set-back, then decided to transition. Ultimately, goal was to transition for at least a year.
Did you make your goal?
Yes- 1 year post-relaxer and counting.
What is your 2013 goal?
Super-ambitious goal: WL by 12/31/13. Realistically: BC or not, BSL worth of natural hair (straightened) by summer 2013, full MBL by December 2013.
What are you planning to do to reach your goal?
Be good to my hair- feed it (moisturize, vitamins), be gentle with it (gentle handling, little to no heat for at least a 6 month period), protect it (protein and oil treatments, conditioners, protective styling). Stay hydrated, stay active.

What was your hair goal for 2012?
No particular goal for this year. I BC'ed in January so I guess I just wanted to have enough length to be able to track my progress on one of those t-shirts :-) I guess that makes my goal shoulder length.

Did you make your goal?
2012 isn't over yet, I'm neck length right now. Maybe the very back of my head will make it to shoulder length by Dec. *shrug* We'll see.

What is your 2013 goal?
No length goals because I still don't really know how much length I get per month. My goals are more about being able to have enough length to do different styles.

What are you planning to do to reach your goal?
My bandwagon/product junkie days were extremely short-lived. I've found what works for me and I do it. I protective style with wigs for work. I co-wash or rinse my mini-braids nightly. I moisturize and seal after every co-wash/rinse. Shampoo weekly, DC approx 2x per week. Trim every 3 - 4 months. I'm not doing anything sexy or exotic to my hair, keeping it very simple and it's working for me. I'll continue to do the same in 2013.

What was your hair goal for 2012?

To reduce single strand knots so I could finally make it to waist length. I haven't used heat since January 3rd and don't plan on straightening this year. Maybe next Spring. I'm too lazy to do it, but ironically I started working about again and plan on doing so everyday (not too lazy to workout!)

Did you make your goal?

:yep: <-- I think that about says it!

What is your 2013 goal?

To continue growing a lot of hair. Mini twists (I can do tons of styles with mini twists more than any other style) and Wen have become good friends with my hair. So has finger detangling, deep conditioning, protective styles, and low manipulation. I do my mother's and 3 nieces hair so it keeps my hands out of mine. When I have to flat iron or twist their hair (ranging from APL to Tailbone length), it really puts me off of dealing with mine. Thank goodness for mini twists! All these methods have helped me to consistently reach my goals each year.

What are you planning to do to reach your goal?

Same things as above. It's been working for 2.5 years

What was your hair goal for 2012? BSL
Did you make your goal? Ha nope far from it!

What are you planning to do to reach your goal? Protective styling, growth aids, and twice a week deep conditioning

ETA: I WANT THICK HAIR TOO DANGIT!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What was your hair goal for 2012?
- I did not have one I randomly big chopped to TWA length

What is your 2013 goal?
- Shoulder length unstretched/bottom apl or grazing bra strap length

What are you planning to do to reach your goal?

- No heat at all besides deep conditioning
- Braid and Twist Extensions as protective styles
- Keeping my Regimen Simple ie: Deep Condition, Shampoo, Condition, Moisturizer, Seal (I just recently tried honey and oil rinsing but my hair hated both)
- Continue to learn how to style my own hair
- Upping my Water and Protein intake
- Adopting a more clean lifestyle and also exercising

My 2012 goal was to hide my hair until my reveal date! ACHIEVED.

For the remaining months my goal is to perfect a regimen and get to full BSL by Dec 2012.
I'm nearly there. ACHIEVABLE.

For 2013. More hair hiding until summer. Then reveal aiming for MBL for Dec 2013.

I'll achieve MBL by hiding my hair in the winter, keeping it moisturised under a weave. I will then reveal in the summer & protective style in buns. Co-washing twice weekly. Moisturising daily and washing monthly (or as needed).

Gotta focus on 2012 though. Don't wanna get ahead of myself.

I undid my twists and I am SL in the back and 1 inch to get to SL on the sides. If I can get 2 inches of growth by year end I'll be happy

What was your hair goal for 2012? I wanted to reach APL and hoped for BSL
Did you make your goal? I reached APL
What is your 2013 goal? BSL
What are you planning to do to reach your goal? I plan on sticking with what has worked-braids, weekly shampoo, dc, gentle handling

What was your hair goal for 2012?

Grow my edges back in thick

Did you make your goal?

Not yet but there's still hope!

What is your 2013 goal?

Get to SL. I have very very fine hair and I've been having major retention issues

What are you planning to do to reach your goal?

Protective styling through braids. This had actually been helping me get my edges back once I got the part size correct and started redoing them every two weeks. At one point this was the cause of my missing edges! I've also seriously upped my protein application and I'm actually retaining a lot more growth. Spritzing with AVJ after a wash, SM thickening mist in the AM and water with rosemary, eucalyptus and lavender EOs at night is also helping. Finally I'm incorporating bamboo silica, biotin and a b-vitamin complex into my diet as well as protein shakes. I feel like if I keep doing all this I'll be fine :)
