I read the op before it was deleted, but I didn't get to post until now...
This thread has made me grateful for spaces like these where we can be honest w/o penalty.
I had/have a similar situation at my current job (a coworker) and decided to just keep it brief whenever we have to interact. I don't feel guilty about it, but I just self regulate so nothing can be misconstrued, ya know?
