Weave: Extensions Plus Relaxed Texture

Thanks!
I just purchased EP Custom Kinky Curly & I hope it works out just as well. Here are some pics of the hair up against my braided out bangs.

Hey Sade',

Do you have pics of this hair installed yet?

cinnespice My bad!

thickness This is the EP Zig Zag Custom Kinky Curly. I purchased a 3oz pack of 16-18 inches (it's sold at a range) and a 3 oz pack of 10-12 inches. The only color they have is Natural Brown. In total it was roughly a little over $300. I did not tell them to process it, it is "ready-made" hair. They just call it "custom". I read that they roll it on perm rods or something to get the curly effect and therefore the curls will last.
This hair is not available online, you have to purchase it in the store or over the phone. I never knew they had it until I did some research online.
The hair can be blown out and flat ironed and when u wet it the curls will bounce right back. A little mousse & a denman brush makes the curls pop I have been testing out the wefts (obsessed). I straightened it and everything.
It has a beautiful coarse non-shiny texture. And of course I asked them to send me the kinkiest coarsest (is that a word?) batch. It's very light, fluffy and healthy looking hair.
Any who, I am getting this installed on Saturday and I cannot wait. I hope I like it b/c I am so loyal to EPRT.

I may have to check this out. Thanks for sharing Sade.

I still rock my eprt half wig religiously. Everyone thinks it is my real hair. It is the only hair I've ever found that blends with my hair. I dont have to put any heat on my real hair to blend since I air dry the weave and rock it kinky straight. Lately been wearing my hair out more, but it is still my staple when I don't feel like or have time to do my hair.

That kinky curly texture looks cute and tempting. I've had bad luck with kinky curly textures in the past tho as far as puffiness and blending so I'm skeptical. Plus, I actually finally have enough hair for cute styles w/my own hair in its natural state.

I've been calling EP for weeks trying to get RT 14inch but they are sold out and they told me it going to be a 5-6 weeks b4 it will be in stock. Ugghh but I'm going to wait

It's always like that. Did they have any other lengths?

How much hair do you leave out in your install since you are only installing 2oz.? I have 2oz sitting around that I was going to use for clip ins but i need a real install for a while.

Cant wait to see the new install!

Just a horseshoe at the top and my edges in the front. The hair is so thick so 2oz works for me.

Sade do you mind sharing how easy it was to do braidouts with EPRT?

I want to do an install when my hair is about 12 weeks post. I'm hoping to just wash the hair, airdry and then do a braidout. Do you think I can do this on 4b hair without straightening the leave out?

Lastly, do you know how long 12 inches would hit -APL, BSl?

Also, is the EPRT pretty easy to straighten?

sorry for all the questions but Thanks a bunch in advance!!

belletropjolie I never tired to do a braidout on this hair. I was too lazy.

For me 12 inches was very long and it fell between APL & BSL. I chopped it off to SL.
It took a lot for me to get this hair silky straight the way I liked it. I had to blow dry it then use the flat irons on very high heat. Babyliss flat irons worked the best for me.
It ended up being too much work so I switched to EP ZZ Indian Hair. I prefer the Natural body texture. It's much easier to work with and still blends flawlessly.

Sade' -- I use the Zig Zag Curly and I've been using their hair for years. It's the best investment ever. I remember one time I wanted to order another fresh pack (after using the same for a year), and they were out of the hair because of a hair show in the ATL. Girl...u talkin about someone who was too thru lololol....

It's the best hair ever. I've only had the Zig Zag curly. I like that kinky kurly hair. How did you like their Indian Hair? I may have to get some and try it.

ThatJerseyGirl I thought the ZZ Curly was Indian hair too? I love the ZZ Natural Body simply because I wear my hair straight all the time and it's easy to blow out and flat iron. It's so manageable, never sheds and it's not too silky. That's all I want out of life.

I will continue to use EP as long as I wear weaves.

Thanks Sade apl or bsl is right where I'd like it to hit. I noticed earlier that you said 2oz was pretty thick so I'm planning to buy just the 1 pack.

I'm kind of bummed that its so hard to straigten. I don't want to have a battle just to get it silky. I may just use Caruso's instead.
