well on monday I only had PE and then a small discussion class... no one noticed haha. It wasn't until I got to work that people noticed! They all really liked my hair :grin: it was a good feeling!

then today I got a lot of looks from guys :grin:. This Korean guy, he's apart of my class group said, "Zia you look amazing today!" when I walked into the lecture hall. It was great! And I got some other compliments about the way I looked from head to toe. And I think I totally put more effort in the way I look b/c I LOVE my hair. It's like when you have great hair the rest just fall into place. I modeled my outfit around the scarf in my hair. I don't have a picture of my outfit, but I do have a picture of my hair after the whole day was done (it lasted really well on a rainy crappy day!)

So working from the scarf (which was lime green, orange and yellow) I had on a gray v-neck sweater dress with a wife beater underneath, lime green leggings tucked into my houndstooth rainboots, my gray leather biker jacket and an orange scarf... And whoever said my make up would pop more after the BC didn't lie! I quickly did a lime-olive green eyeshadow look with simple black liner and mascara and I looked totally put together with little effort. And I've worn the basically the same outfit before with make up and didn't get the compliments and passing smiles. I am totally happy.

Its funny that men are the main people giving me positive feedback about my hair/ overall look. Who knew these curls were a man magnet, :drunk:

OOHHHHH Yeah I love the curls... I'm def thinking my hair is a solid 3c in the front, middle and gets more 4a as you radiate from the center. Last night I did the baggying method... Last night I co-washed my hair, then I added all sorts of leave ins in it, but mostly I concentrated on this glycerin and water mix, the used QP Mango/ olive oil butter and put a shower cap on then my silk bonnet and went to bed. About an hour before I actually got out of bed, lol I took off the shower cap so my hair could dry a little bit b/c its way too cold to be outside with wet hair... even though it was raining all day. Lol

Thanks! There are different textures in my hair... some textures I am so in love with... other textures just don't have the same defined curl pattern.... I plan on buying and trying some new products to see how I can get all textures of my hair to be defined and moisturized.
 
OH MY GOODNESS, you weren't lying when you said "pic heavy"! What a beautiful story! I am so happy for you that your family was so supportive from the beginning and with helping you BC. Gotta love pops for giving you $20 for new hair stuff.

I like pictures more than words.. haha Serious;y I'm the type of LHCFer that usually goes into a thread looking for pics of hair and skims through the text.... I am wordy though, but personally I hate reading long threads, I like to get the gist from looking at all the pictures posted. :lachen:

thanks! Basically what i did to prevent breakage was just leave it alone... this is why I looked so busted.. I'd brush above the tangles and put it into a pony tail and pop a head band on it! I only detangled in the shower with a jilbere shower comb and hair dry... later in my transition I opted to blow dry the roots... b/c all the many textures were fighting, so straight the easier option to deal with lol!
 
WOW! TPS I had no idea you were transitioning! I haven't poked my head outta the nail fanatics thread in a while (lol) so I had no idea what was going on in the other forums! Congrats and keep us updated. I'm BC'ing next!

Oh I will.. but tonight i used the Kinky Curly Curl Custard late at night and I'm going to bed with it still a little bit damp :perplexed... so Idk how its going to look in the morning. I can't wait for spring time so I can use it in the morning and let it dry through the day without having it all smooshed and jacked b/c I laid on it
 
Noooooooooo! I knew I shouldn't come in this thread. Ever since you changed your siggy to showcase the new look, I've had to avert my eyes because merely glancing at the INCREDIBLY MOIST AND SOFT fluffy cloud of your hair makes my fingers clench in hopes of running my fingers through it and scrunching it over and over again, mericlessly.

This is not a joke!

Its getting longer that the curls are starting to plop over...so it looks all uneven... but I love it!
