ThePerfectScore BC'ed! *Pic Heavy*

Hey lady! I saw the sig pic of you with the zebra print dress in another thread, and I thought, "Wow that's cute!" And, it made me happy to see that you've liberated yourself from those pesky relaxed ends! I know about the spontaneous thing, girl! What I planned on being a 2+ year transition, actually ended (after 13 mos) during my stay in the hospital to deliver my daughter. Yes, I went into my L&D bathroom and started chopping off the relaxed hair with medical bandage scissors! I couldn't believe it, but it felt so GOOD! Girl, within one week, I had "new" hair, and a new babay!

Didn't mean to sorta highjack your thread, or stop your shine, but wanted to mainly say that it looks so good, and your hair is gorgeous...it will be soo beautiful in the yrs to come with that texture! HHG, and good luck!

P.S. You remind me of my little sis!

Pretty. You have a very pretty face so it looks perfect. I dunno why I thought you were already natural. I thought your siggy pic was a cute TWA and you've had that a while right?

Beautiful hair. Congratulations on your BC!
I think your texture may change a little after you start your journey with 100% natural hair(I think you may be a 4a/3c), but for now, I think you are a 4a.

I love it! I am contemplating on a BC myself. I am sitting at work ready to just cut this relaxed crap out of my head. I am scared though....:-(

You didn't High jack my thread.. I loved hearing that story!! I def think I would have chopped off my hair in the hospital too! I think I would def have transitioned if I found out I was pregnant, those harsh relaxer chemicals don't seem safe for a developing fetus.

I originally planned on waiting another year to do the BC. So for my college graduation I'd have a radical new change, but I am so glad I didn't wait a full 2 years plus to BC. When I 1st started toying with the idea of being natural was when I did a 6 month relaxer stretch. I wanted to see how long I could go and by 6 months it was becoming so hard only because people kept saying I needed a retouch, but then I did another 6 month stretch and was going to buy a relaxer when the guy who worked at the BSS store told me not to! So I returned the relaxer and started my transition... what made me sorta mad was at that point I could have already been a year into my transition if I didn't get so darn weak and afraid of my natural texture.

Well the thing that made the BC so easy was the fact that I always wear my hair up in a pony tail anyway! So later in my stretch my edges were soo curly and short that they afro'ed up, from far away I looked like I had a TWA. My edges were always a separate entity from the pony tail lol... now I'm hoping I can grown them out.

My older cousin went to her bathroom at work and just chopped off her relaxed ends spontaneously... haha So I mean, that's always an option!

Congrats, OP!

At your length you can try a bunch of different styles w/o it being overwhelming. :yep:

Really? I'm trying to find different styles and hair accessories... I'm looking forward to going through this thread http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?t=442872
