Hey Mwedzi, Are you still signing up folk for the challenge? If so, pls add me to your list....I'm already in a sew-in and I'll keep it in for this challenge!! :yep::yep::yep:

Like I said, I can do thisssssssssssssssss one!!!!!

Can I join in? I need to perfect my twists. My longest layer is 12in. right now. Hopefully I'll get some growth this summer.

I understand...just want to join a challenge so I can measure my hair on my birthday. LOL

Just kidding.

Thanks, and good luck on this challenge!!!:grin:

I want to join. I was going to put myself on a personal challenge, but this is great and will be just in time for my next touch up.

I will bunning through out the week, with a 1 day pass for sunday. I will buy some earrings to spice up my look (any excuse to shop)

I am going to be deep conditioning with heat every week and seal with castor oil, to achieve better thickness.

keep it moiturised and bagging my ends towards the last 2 days to make sure I retain my ends and must be consistant with chollera and flaxseed.

I so wish I could do this. This is a really good idea. Besides the fact that I cannot find a protective style that looks right and that I would wear for 6 days, I work out at least 3x a week (not including my roller skating). I have to get all that sweat/salt off my scalp. I haven't figured out how to do this and maintain a protective style. :nono:

Good luck, everyone! Looking forward to seeing the progress photos.

:hiya:
Please include me in on this challenge. I have been bunning since March and this is great motivation for me in counting down until my next texturizer.

me too me too!!! I'm doing it! i just figured out my regimen last night... my boyfriend gave me 6 braids (somehow he was really good at it)... I mixed olive, tea tree, and vitamin e oils along with a light detangler and some water in a spray bottle... the additives were about 1/4 of the mixture... And I used olive oil gel on my edges... And now my hair looks like some of u guys today! i didn't think it was possible lol so now I am so excited for my buns and protective styles that DONT take 3 hrs to do, cuz thats what i am used to! (braiding twisting rods etc.). I didn't think my hair was "nice" enough lol. I'M READY COUNT ME IN!!!!

I wanna join! I've been in a bunning challenge since the start of this month and it ends in December so i should be able to manage this.

My protective styles will be bunning and maybe individual plaits, i'm in a HYH challenge so i wont be posting any pics along the way, i can post a starting and ending pic though. I dont know how long my hair is but i do know that i was 3 inches away from APL at the start of this month so i'll show you guys how far away i am when this challenge ends.

OT can somebody tell me how to subscribe to pages? And where i find the pages i'm subscribed to?

Forgot to add that I will be bunning until the new growth comes in crazy and then I will be under wigs until my next relaxer.

it's my third or fourth time. however, this stylist has is "soft-handed" and doesn't pull my hair when she installs them so there is very little breakage when i take them out. Plus i noticed (as others have attested) that my hair really thrives in kinky twists.

count me in, I will be getting my hair braided and I really need this challenge since I have been craving a BC lately. I plan on BC after a year and I am only 6 months in. I need all the help I can get.

Sign me up! I will be wearing twists as my style.

I was the wash and go queen, and that along with mo combing or clearing out my hair for over a month, led to terrible tangles and mini locs in the middle of my hair! I will never do that again.

Even if i wear my hair in a puff during the day, at the end of the day when i am twisting my hair for bed i have major tanglage.

PLEASE PLEASE PUT ME IN I AM SICK OF MY HAIR:swordfigh:whyme: it has been fighting me , doing what it want:lachen:wont hold a curl my hair was great last summer. but this summer it starting off bad so i made up my mind to keep from cutting i am going to BUN all summer. that why i have not posted any new pic:wallbash: i am going to air dry too may be this will help. my hair is just laying on my head:perplexed dont know why it only looks good when i go too the shop. last year i was doing my own wash and set its really acting up its not falling out or breaking it just hanging there am trying to up my protein some useing heanna now. sorry for being so long just to say yes but that whats going on with me now no swing this year:sad:.CAUSE IF MY HAIR THINK I GOING TO THE SHOP FOR MORE THEN THE TOUCH UP AND MAYBE ONE WASH AND SET WHEN I HAVE TO GO OUT IT HAS ANOTHER THING COMEING:lachen:IT BETTER GIVE IN OR IT WILL BE A BUN UNTIL I BRAID UP FOR THE WINTER. CAUSE I AM THE BOSS I think:lachen::lachen::lachen:.ITS NOT LIKEING ANY THING I USED TO USE ON IT AND I CLARIFY ONCE A MONTH WITH SUAVE AND IT STILL ACT UP, its trying to make me go back to the shop i know it:lachen:if thats the case it better get a JOB cause my money is funny.

I decided to transition to natural. I got box braids yesterday. I'll be using Surge 14 and Worlds of Curls moisturizer for protein and moisture.

Congratulations on your decision! How many weeks post are you?

Thank you! I'm 7 weeks but I would have been 7 months post if I had not relaxed back in April.:ohwell: I'm really excited about going natural. I know it won't be easy because I don't plan to BC.
