I used to go out with an Jamaican/Indian from Birmingham, theres quite a lot down there but not in my city

I'm from the Caribbean, and I'm sure that my FH will be black american. For some strange reason, I can't find any GREAT Caribbean men in Houston. :perplexed:sad: It would be nice to share the same culture, but I'm okay if we're not.

I've noticed that hardly anyone from Texas is dating/married to white men, although I see that's not the case for alot of women on this board. Hmm..could it be because I live in Texas? When I lived in New York, I was approached a few times by white men, but that's never happened since I moved to Texas.

I've recently opened up to the possibility of dating outside of my race, but have come to realize that is not common in Houston. I hardly EVER see black women with white men. If I every see that, the man is never attractive (hope this doesnt' upset anyone.) I wonder about that sometimes. I hear that interracial dating in Austin, TX is most accepted though.

Noticed there hadn't been any new posts, and almost never a mention of a black woman with an Arab man. My husband is Lebanese, and we have been together for 13 years. I guess you could say I had a preference for black men, however, I always just preferred dark skin/hair, and eyes. I went shopping for a new pair of shoes and met my husband in the mall 13 years ago, and I never knew a love like this was possible. I am blessed to say I am married to my best friend, and we have a babygirl who is 18 months old.

My husband is AA:grin: Once you go black you never go back:lachen:.

His father is not AA though his mom is. His daddy is from Barbados.

Hmmm, even though half of the women who answered the poll are not with white men, if you add up the percentages of the ones with nonblack males, they are almost as much as the percentage of women who are with black men. So if this poll is representative of the forum, then there are almost as many women on here whose SO's/DH's are not black as there are women who are with black men. I'm really surprised.

Oh, and my SO is black, he's African.

Maybe and maybe not. There is no category for Caribbean men, who may very well be of African descent. Some of the Latinos may be of African descent etc.

Not sure if I posted, but...

DH is pale in the winter and tan in the summer. He's the sweetest hubby ever; he's Mexican.

I'm Panamanian (mami) and Black (dad).

My 'current' SO is black american. Not sure how much longer he'll be current though. lol Maybe I'll find someone from the Caribbean next, or at least someone open to try things in my culture. I can't stand that he doesn't get my culture, and doesn't even try.
