I'm so tired of people asking me when am I going to straighten my hair. I set a personal goal of not straightening my hair until Christmas. Everyone from co-workers to friends to family keeps asking asking me when am I getting my hair done. Dang its just hair (my hair at that) leave me alone..... ok I'm glad I got that off my chest. Have a nice day everyone!

Ignore them.

Example:

Friend or coworker: When are you going to straighten your hair?

You: I had such a great time at the art exhibit last night.

^^^ITA. It can be really annoying, but that is the best way to handle them. :lachen:

Ugh... I get the same! People act like I have to straighten my hair for a special event or something... and the ones who do usually have unhealthy hair or a messy weave or wig o_O

I just ignore them or remind them that it is MY hair.

People think that straight means nice...and texture - whichever you have - is bad. Truth is...you can do more with kinky hair than with straight...in my opinion.

I hear you... I am 4 months post and wearing a bun.. People haven't said it to my face but I know they are looking like hump.....

I understand OP. My mom acts the same way every time I see her and my hair is in my WnG. Her facial expression: :ohwell::perplexed:nono:

I got the last laugh tho - she called me last night cuz her hair is thinning and she wanted to know what I did.

The best response is "Never. Now get out of my face."

same here. but it's too humid here for me to even attempt.

I usually just say "Excuse me?" and my tone gets most people to shut up. It works best in person.

If they continue and say how nice my hair looks straight, I say something like "How cute. You think that your opinion about my hair matters."
