Actually this should be my Sept hit...
not buying anything until whatever I have runs out

but then again, I just sold some Nexxus products and used the money to try Elucence :p

Do you happen to know the ingriedients for the SE Luxury Conditioner? TIA

Because it's so early here is the list of what I'm trying this month in hopes of them being a hit:

TRYING
  • Pantene Pro-V Intense Moisturizing Mask
  • Kenra Moisturising Shampoo. I love the clarifying poo so much that I thought I would give it a try
  • Mizani H20 Nighttime treatment
I'll be back on the 30th with the final verdict.

ANOTHER HIT (I'm talking MAJOR hit):

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration conditioner - WHOA! This stuff is totally the bomb! I've been doing cw's with it for the past three days and it's been great to my hair. I might try the Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curls & Waves conditioner to see if there's a difference between the two. I don't think I'll ever give up my beloved Tresemme' Vitamin E Moisture Rich, but I can sure see myself using the Hello Hydration and the Tresemme for cw's.

Hit:

Sunsilk 24/7 creme on the ends of my hair before rollersets. My hair is so soft and smooth, but still weightless. I would equate this to the effect that I used to get from using Salerm. But this is cheaper and easier to get my hands on.

Hits...

Aussie Knot Detangler
Silk Elements Shampoo
Silk Elements Relaxer
Vital Positive Conditoner (thanks Southern Girl)

Of course I still love my Oyin.

Shunta, You are so right!!! That is what is keeping me from running out to get the Herbal Essenes Hello Hydration and Deutex! (sp) lol.

I need to stay out the stores and off line buying things! But I think 3 of the products I listed are some I have and never tried. They were just sitting here in my own personal Beauty Supply Store in my closet!

But that Aussie Knot Forgotten.......Is the truth against Tangles.

Big hit for me.....

Oyin's Burnt Sugar Pomade- I really love this. It's like a hair grease w/o the bad stuff and my hair is so moisturized, strong and the shine is amazing.

Miss.....

Ion soft bonnet hair dryer- I was under there almost 2 hours and my hair was no where near dry.

I haven't posted any hits or misses in a long time because I don't try new products much anymore. But this month:

MISS:

Qhemet Biologics Amla and Olive Heavy Cream

I know everyone raves about this, but it just did not work for me. It's too heavy and oily for my hair, I guess. :ohwell:

I love the pomade- it smells really good to me too.

Yes, it's the bomb. Do you think this product alone would serve as a daily moisturizer or should it be used to seal? I'm kind of confused about this since it's a pomade made of mostly oils. I've been using it daily as a moisturizer so far and it is working very well.

Hits:
Neutrogena Clarifying (as of last night!)
Africa's Best Herbal Oil
NTM Silk touch leave-in
Basically learning to know my hair--I thought ya'll were crazy! I NEVER thought I would "know" my hair, but I think it just took consistency for me.

Misses:
Paul Mitchell Shampoo Three--stopped itching, but didn't remove build-up

Have but haven't tried:
Rusk Moist treatment

Hits:

John Frieda Frizz-Ease Rebuild Restructuring Micro-Oil Therapy (Made my hair feel like silk...seriously!)

Miss:

KeraCare 1st Lather Shampoo (Bought in August, but just realized that it's pretty much useless)

Hits:

  • Aveda Damage Remedy Renewal Kit (I'm trying to find out how to order w/o license) moisturized/detangled/strengthened my hair. Available at any Aveda salon or at the institute
  • Aveda Beautifying Oil (super-softens hair when used w/ my Chi)

Hits

1. Affirm 5 in 1 reconstructor
2. Star's Lacio Lacio on dry hair and for rollersets made my hair fluffy and soft
3. Mesh Rollers for rollersetting- made rollersetting so much easier for me
4. Duo-Tex in a spray bottle makes a world of difference- this is a great mild protein treatment.
MissNone

Undecided
1. Nacidit's Mixed Deep Conditioner

Honestly-I would view it as a sealant & for shine because from what I have read in other threads, a moisturizer has water as one of the ingredients. I'm a little confused about it myself. However-if it is working for you for daily moisturizing, then there are no problems. When I think of moisturizer-some type of cream comes to mind like Qhemet's Heavy creme-etc. I still love the pomade-even mixed with a little water I can see how it may add moisture.
