Salon stylists speak "we hate wash and gos!"

These are the kind of stylists that will talk sh!t about you as soon as you leave the shop. Shoot, probably even while you're in the bathroom. No thank you.

Probably would have done better by not saying anything.

LHCF = Judge, lawyers, paralegals, witnesses, jury, court reporter, baliff...

Conviction is a motha.

I want whoever sent the link to this thread to the salon's email to come forth cause that was messy!

Throwing rocks and hiding your hand is immature!

I can't believe people pay $6.50 to spew negativity in this forum! I wish you have read my reply in its entirety. I'm not "most stylists" I was you. Minus the disrespect. I'm aware you all are well informed. The video wasnt posted here, it was posted among the tons of misinformation we see and hear about regularly. Once again, if the shoe doesn't fit...

It's a way to do everything. I understand you were trying to get a message across but they way it was done was all wrong. If your intention was really to educate women about their hair then all the rolling eyes, laughing and sarcasm should of been checked at the door before the cameras start rolling. I don't think just because people go to cosmetology school makes them an expert on all aspects of hair either.

Oh you're the one who didn't have anything to say in the video. Probably because " the funny one" took over and did all the talking (and repeating). You didn't have much to say then but now you wanna come on here and try to defend the negativity YOU participated in. Its too late to try to clean it up now!!

If all the people in this thread were offended and "most" of the people who commented on YT were offended, that should tell you something

And was there even an apology in your post?? Or are you just here to make excuses for why you all are so catty?

Is there a reading comprehension thread here? Just wondering. I negated to say thank you Boston Maria formally. So thank you! I'll definitely be around, might as well make the most of my $6.50 :-) Have a great Friday!

Well you obviously didn't read my entire post. Not sure why the owner of the salon is sending you to LHCF to e-argue with a bunch of strangers. Maybe you should open up the comments in the wash and go video and discuss with people over there. To come here to insult people because we have an opinion is fruitless. Are you going to Yelp next and yell at people there, too? I hope this doesn't end up on Clutch or on popular blogs because it could hurt her business.

Wow! Are you having a bad day? I hope it gets better! Sorry you perceived us as catty. That couldn't be further from the truth. I have nothing else to apologize for ma'am. Nothing to clean up either. It's ok to disagree.

This mob mentality here is baffling! I've never seen it used like this, it's so sad. You'd rather attack and be disrespectful instead of evolving and growing. We've read and considered every relevant word to make better videos with Amanda in the future. I get the impression most of you could not care less though. I can't be a part of a group of such closed minds. Thanks for the feedback! Peace.

Why did I just have A flashback of my mother coming in the room when my sister and I were fighting? :arguing: :look:

 That's what I was going for. I'm really baffled by the stylist joining a site to "respond" to the negative feedback that their video received. I mean as professionals shouldn't they really be thinking "hey we might have just ticked off some potential clients" But noooooo LHCF ladies are the bad guys.

What about an LHCF discount code:lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen: ... i kid i kid. But yeah, just to redeem ya selves, and change our closed minds:look:
This thread is making my friday right now:grin:.

Yeah not sure what the point is. Just open the comments section on the Youtube video and address over there. At least if things get heated the owner can remove the video. e-Arguments over here will show up on a Google search and this thread will be here for the world to see.

I had to watch the two videos, after reading some of these posts. My thoughts:

So much shade toward ecostyler, my ecostyler is not brown. Please visit your local BSS!

I know what products works on my BSB hair, probably not the same products you use on your fades/razor cuts.

FreeLove that was not having fun and educating the YouTube community, that was pure condescension.

Wow!

This. FreeLove, try to listen to what the ladies are saying. You feel attacked but you did start this mess. You posted a video and people stated how they felt. Don't like it, well that's the way it is. Serious question though. Why did your salon owner disable the comments on Youtube missing the chance to have an open discussion there, but gave the go ahead for you to open an account here and address us specificially? We aren't the only ones clearly that were offended by the video. Again, serious question.

I'm a thick sister with boobs, buns, and thighs so for me to insult them based on their looks would be harsh. Besides, it has absolutely nothing to do with what I'm about to say. Can we not put one another down? I'm just saying.

Now. :look: At first glance... the title of the salon has EGO in it. That's a great description for what you have to deal with apparently lol.

These videos are degrading, ignorant, and overall just kinda sad. The cackling was bad enough (but I can understand that not everyone is comfortable on camera soooo... *kanyeshrug* ) I think they were attempting to be funny but it just came across as an ignorant type of arrogance. The "Girls with no booties... you can twerk too" was just.... strange lol.

With that said, nah I'll pass.

Uhm Rick James Momemt Warning: Ya'll wasn't saying sheet when you were snatching me bald with braid extensions or burning my stuff off with a pressing combs/relaxers. Oh when you were butchering me so I didn't have enough hair to tangle, I couldn't hear anyone cackle. Now that I cut the money off everybody wanna complain about the napps I been growing for decades.

In the picture below my BSB hair is washed and air dried, no comb or gel. I like it. Bauldy trying to say them stick straight eight of an inch fades look better. Hump, Ya'll wash and no bald headed mother drukers all on YT in ya leather panties and cheetah boots, can kiss my nappy roots.

Hold my wig, where dey at?

I was TRYING to be good but this made me laugh SO LOUD!!! :bighug: :lachen: I needed that lol. BTW your pic is super cute!

Too much defensiveness. If they can't see how their video was rude, well that's us to them . . . . Clearly if so many people have a problem with it, then it's time for some self-reflection. The jokes in the video alone were not funny, but very condescending. If those attitudes and practices are working for ya'll, then stick with them, but it is EXACTLY that attitude that has kept me out of salons and my hair has become much thicker and longer since then.

I'm relaxed but I'm still going to put my 2 cents in.

I did watch the whole video, I do think that whatever good message that was intended (which they did have) was lost in the condescending tone the two stylists (not the one with the scarf) were using by "keeping it real". One of them was talking as if to a 2 year old, punctuating EVERY.WORD. when most women watching a youtube video on hair are going to be a bit knowledgeable about hair.

There was one part when the one in the middle said " a wash and go is actually for someone who can actually get up and wash and GO, because it looks good" and then went on to say that if you have kinky hair then a wash and go is not for you. So basically the message I got was if you have kinky hair you have to do smthg with that S$*#t because no one wanna see all dat!

First of all, who defines "looking good", what might look crazy to me, might look neat and moisturized to you. I feel that they are perpetuating the "good hair" myth, even though they say it's not about that and emphasized it at some point. I don't think they even know they are doing it, they do want to help but their message was lost to me by their attitude.

Putting all the unnecessary comments about their weight aside, if in a forum where there are women from all over the world, mainly the U.S but there are others here, from all ages, different backgrounds, and in this thread they comment and they think the tone was condescending and a bit rude, then that should tell you something. LhCF does not have one "voice", like when others comment "the ladies at LHCF", there are a ton of members here and we are all different. And if we are telling you, you need to work on the message, then maybe it's time to take a step back and take what's been said here, analyze it and then re-work it.

now, for the person who sent the link to them, well, if you know them and want to let them know, well nothing we can do about it. But it makes me think about my future reviews, contributions, etc to a thread, not because it would not be something that I would say to a stylist to their face, but because the drama it creates is unnecessary IMHO. If I say something about a salon or a stylist, would someone I know do the same? Food for thought.
