Roundburshhair.com Lacio Lacio Oh H**L Naw!

You should email her.

Maybe when she started selling them the ingredient list was that way before the Lacio people switched it up.

Exactly.

Dang give her the benefit of the doubt. She is actually a very nice woman with superb customer service. Did she really need to be called out like this?

She sells so many products (nevermind the fact that posting the ingredients for most of them must be HELL within itself and I am very thankful for that) she probably have no idea when formulations change. Give her a break.

I would email her at roundbrush. She aways responds when I have a question. She's not a member on this forum anymore. Also, I ordered my Lacio Lacio from her several months back. Mink oil or not the stuff is the best. And as the posted stated, her customer service is superb.

Wow, I haven't been to Jennifer's site in a while. It's really coming along! Off to see if she has Salerm21.

Send JenniferMD an e-mail. She's a wonderful person and has outstanding customer service! She will answer any and all of your questions in a timely fashion. She's a distributor of the products, but has no control over when formulations change. I'm sure once you e-mail her and bring this to her attention, she will change the ingredient list on her website.

Oh, that's too bad.

I understand Keclee's point. I dislike having the intentions of getting 1 thing and receiving another. I also think she should try to reach her.

Some of the bottles of Lacio have it, others do not. The company that makes the product is to blame for changing ingredients, not Jennifer.

I would have gotten in touch with her before blasting her company on a message board.

I honestly think it is an oversight...when the manufactures switch up the ingredients of their products it might be overlooked to adust it on the website accordingly..I had the same issue with Sickbay...they did not switch up their picture or the ingredients of the Lacio Lacio but they were selling the one without mink oil.

Also you will not receive any with Mink Oil from anywhere because I believe the FDA has prohibited the sale of any ingredients that are related to animals...

So are you saying that there is no site that sells the Lacio Lacio with mink oil?
I don't know what all the fuss is about the mink oil, but if it is that good, I would love to have some.

 , yes I feel the same as you do. My posting was not to call anyone out and I was just ranting like some other members have in the past. Moreover, who is JenniferMD?

I went to this website as a customer and not a person who is familiar company employees or owners etc. My email was not intended to call anyone out, however, I wanted to know if any other person had experienced this as well.

I'm sure you can understand where I'm coming from.....
You order $50 odd dollars worth of product, in hopes that it will contain what is advertised and when the product comes to your house in Italy, it doesn't have the ingredients as advertised.

Thank you, it's nice to know that someone understands where I'm coming from. I am not on this website to put people on blast or call anyone out, I am just expressing a little frustration. :look:

what the heck is mink oil?

Girl I want to know too!

Edited to add:

Mink oil is made from the thick fatty layer minks have just under their skins. This fat is removed from the pelt when the mink is skinned and is then rendered into mink oil. Mink oil is a source of palmitoleic acid which possesses physical properties similar to human sebum, therefore mink oil is used in several medical and cosmetic products. Mink oil is also favored for treating and preserving leather.

Botanical alternatives to mink oil as a source of palmitoleic acid include macadamia nut oil (Macadamia integrifolia) and Sea Buckthorn oil (Hippophae rhamnoides), both of which contain a larger percentage of palmitoleic acid (22 and 40% respectively) than does mink oil (17%).

What about Emu oil?

Well that one may not count, because it is a by-product of the animals killed for meat.

Exactly. Some people get fustrated/want to vent. I have no idea who Jennifer MD is/that she owned this site/ Nor that she is/was a board member.Maybe Keclee didn't ever? She didn't slag her off personally in her post did she?Just because its a member of the boards site we must bite our tongues?. Nah.

JenniferMD is the proprietress of roundbrushhair.com. She used to be a very active member here, which (I suppose) is why some people thought you were calling her out.

I also understand where you are coming from. If you were complaining about Sheldeez, no one would think you were calling anyone out, because no one from Sheldeez has been a member of the forum (as far as I know). JenniferMD was a member of LHCF at one time. She is very nice, but since you are a customer who does not "know" her as many of the ladies do, I understand that your complaint was not meant personally against her. I guess we need to remember that this board is growing every day, and that ladies who are members now were not present in the past and may not know the history of many things that go on here. Some people still don't know who Niko's cousin is, so how can we expect everyone to know that JenniferMD runs Roundbrush.com?

That being said, I am off to check the site, because I see that the OP is located in Italy and this must mean that Roundbrush delivers overseas????

Here is my two cents. I think you should of called JenniferMd directly first and if she was not responsive than vent on the board. Jennifer is very professional and has excellent customer service skills.

Mink oil is prohibited in the United States. Mink oil can not be listed on the ingredients if the product is sold in US.

my sentiments exactly! Whether it's Jen or anybody else you should give the ample time to respond to your requests. I don't think it's fair to blast anybody until you've exhausted all your attempts to contact them.

For me it's has nothing to do with the site owner being JenniferMD or JenniferPHD....Fair is Fair!

I am not the original poster.

I understand completely with yours and the majority of people's view in this thread, but maybe it was an emotional post? Also the OP was asking for advice. She didn't ask for the owners head on a stick:p

Mink oil is like Jojoba oil but is suppose to be better. It's an oil that is very close to the natural oils our sebum produces. It's supposed to rebalance your hair and scalp moisture levels. Very good stuff!

Okay well I just got off the phone with JenniferMD and she is a sweetheart and she did completely understand my feelings (I did tell her of my post on here) as a new customer to roundbrushhair.com. She offered to refund my $$, which I thought was nice. After she explained WHY the label doesn't have mink oil listed, I then decided to keep and try the product.

Basically she explained that mink oil as an ingredient, has been banned by the U.S. The manufacturer of the product had to comply and change the labels. I am going to be very careful in stating whether or not the product still has it in there, but if you were this company would you discontinue mink oil or change the label?? I would change the label, so there is your answer as to if it still has it in there.

Jennifer stated she is going to make sure the website is updated reflect the ingredients on the bottle. But the product has never changed.

When I told her that some of girls was like "watcha mouth!" she stated laughing and wanted me to pass a thank you to the girls for having her back. We both thought it was funny.

However, again, my post was not to put ANYONE on blast, heck I didn't even know all the "inside" stuff about Lacio, Lacio. But one must understand that as a consumer purchasing products online you want to avoid any false advertisement. I'm just not one of those consumers who buy stuff with my blinders on and don't look at the product labeling (especially hair stuff) before applying it.

So thank you to all who understood and God bless to those who didn't. I'm not mad about it. :)

Ciao, Ciao

Exactly. If you were in business and someone went on a public forum with zillion members and bad mouthed a product without giving you a chance to answer your question, how would you feel.

It's Roundbrushhair.com I can't believe I can say the company name on the board. ;)

I am glad to see the issue has been resolved for the OP.
