Prettymetty
Natural/4b/medium-coarse
This rice water scalp prepoo has my scalp tingling so good. Hair growth co makes it as a leave in or rinse out. I use it directly on my scalp and hair so I can feel that peppermint tingle.
I’m sorry this happened. I know what it’s like to get a cut instead of a trim. So disappointing. As a slow grower too I get it. Please don’t give up on this hobby though. It’s a journey. There will be highs, lows, learning moments, laughter, tears, etc. I’m dreading my trim right now, because I know she may take too much.I was able to do a length check on my hair this morning. The hairstylist cut about 2-3 inches off on what was suppose to be trim when I had told her I wanted a trim. I hate the shape of my hair right now. I'm dropping out of my own challenge because there is no way I'm going to make BSL this year since my hair grows so slowly. I give up on hair salons. I give up on this hobby.
Oh noo! Have you tried using a crea clip to do it yourself?I was able to do a length check on my hair this morning. I’m glad you’re safe after the blow outHair is done, but I had a blowout and had to wait for 2 different tow trucks today in the Houston sun. My tire has been replaced and my silk press is still in tact. Won’t he do it?!View attachment 490317
Idk but they need to get it together. I’m on my last bottle. It worked really well for me in the past.Is the Xcel spray discontinued again??
Yes it is.Is the Xcel spray discontinued again??
There, there *pats back*
I don’t feel happy with my hair but this is nothing new. I keep trying to like it but I just don’t. It’s thin frizzy and can’t hold a style. I’m so fed up with it. I’m even thinking of just relaxing it and calling it a day. When I look at my pictures long straight hair is more flattering as well with my face and features. I feel so torn. I had the longest hair I ever had when I regularly relaxed it. Idk just bummed about my hair. The only thing I like about my natural hair is that I can sleep crazy and my curls stay intact which is why I have opted for the low maintenance wash and go for my everyday hair style right now.
@Napp you have been unhappy with you hair for a long time now. You should do with you hair what makes you feel confident and happy.I don’t feel happy with my hair but this is nothing new. I’ve thought about it. I used to be heat trained but my hair never grew past apl.
I stopped botox last year and growing out my natural texture for a little over a year now. I was trying to learn and love my natural hair texture but by golly i just dont. Also my hair doesn't form twists with the botox in and I would really like to have a low manipulation style like twists again. Im thinking of trying one more thing (hair cauterization) before i give in and get an amino acid straightening system and become a straight haired natural again. My hair was very thick when heat trained it just didnt grow that long but then again my hair has never grown longer than just above BSL ever so theres that. I also used to double press my hair(hot comb then flat iron) but with my titanium flat irons that is not necessary. Ill need a cut to start all over again though because my roots are serious. I also need to stay consistent if i use chemicals. I usualy lose length because ive been in a constant state of transition. I just want to use one thing consistentlyAww, I thought you had some good success with hair botox. Did something happen?
I was having this heat trained vs texlax debate with myself again just last year after cutting out locs. I decided to texlax to KISS. FOR ME, it was less manipulation, no ssks, and less necessary heat during the few times a year that I want to wear straight styles (and also less reversion).
BUT there used to be soo many ladies on the boards who were heat straightened naturals who had super simple regimens. Maybe there are tricks/tips/techniques they all have in common that helped them retain to long lengths that you can emulate? ((BIG HUG))
Doesn't hurt but to try.I think I can get away with just keratin treating my edges lol
I did and it helped alot!Doesn't hurt but to try.
