I think your swag factor has more to do with it than the actual presence of hair. If you look good (to yourself), you feel good, and you attract more positive interactions with people.

I've got all of 7 inches of hair and attract compliments regularly. I think positive people are attracted to positive vibes.

I'm curious to know about experiences is similar to mine :yep:
I'm going to go with PPs who hypothesize that because you are happier about your own hair health/journey that you are projecting more positive and attractive vibes--which one could do without longer hair.

Interestingly, there was a study some years back about the connection between the mental/emotional states of black women and the state of their hair, reporting elevated mood and confidence just after coming from the salon...so, maybe there's something similar happening. I'm glad you're having a positive experience, though.

I feel like you're not really gonna get any though for two reasons:

1. You're not detailing what these experiences are. Did your hair get you your dream job? Did it help you in school? Did it help you make some nice new friends? Did it fix your home/help you find a better home? If so, I'm seriously asking you to please explain how a dead mass on your head did allll of that for you and let me know how I can get mine to earn its keep. Because at the moment, all it does is sit there and take up water and products. :look:

2. I feel like hair is never going to be the answer to life's problems. It's serious, but it's not that serious.

What's so different from what the OP is asking and the "proof your haters wrong" or “long hair benefits" type of threads?

I am guessing she does not mean the LONG hair changed her life, but just like losing a ton of weight……. it will/can affect how others react and treat you.

Why do some seem offended by her question - when we have threads featuring long hair porn on the regular?

My confidence is the same.
It was positive before, but things keep getting better and better :drunk:
It's so addictive.

What are these "things". What is addictive? Can you give an example of what you're talking about?

Maybe its me but you seem to be talking in riddles and not really making yourself clear. :perplexed

You CurliDiva (feel free to add me as a friend on youtube) and Ijanei are the only ones who level with me

:blush3:

:: so good ::

Yeah.. this is starting to look like a witch hunt (lol) and I will spend time where I am loved in tha hair community; youtube and longhairdontcare.net

I'll go join tatiyana, shima, and beyonce.

I don't fit in here. Off this territory I go

Girl you in the right place. Now all you need to do is make a thread about how someone mistakened you for a mixed person and it bought your confidence up sky high :lachen:

OKay, okay, I kid, I kid. Just playin.

But for real *side eye*

Is anyone else staring and blinking rapidly in confusion?

After that last post, um...yep. But hey... she's mysterious, so perhaps we are not meant to understand :D Honestly, I got a little concerned with the whole "it's addictive and getting better and better." Two words for this: Bi Winning...

Where in the world did this come from? I don't see any witch hunting, just people asking you questions because they sincerely want to know what you mean and you're dodging them.

What a strange thread.

Question for anyone who's hair has retained significant health and length in contrast to their past hair's state:

I attract better people and better situations into my life the longer and healthier my hair gets.

Do you?

Do you feel more beautiful, healthy and confident the longer your hair gets?

If so, maybe that's why you're attracting better ppl/circumstances. You're likely putting out better vibes and operating at a higher frequency the happier you get with the way you look. :yep:

I think other posters already tried this route, Whimsy, but she claims she already had the confidence before the hair. :lachen:

MysteryMermaid- why are you hopping and skipping around certain questions being asked to you????

You know what, nevermind, let me bring my butt back to off topic or the makeup forum.

Strange thread indeed, seemed malicious on OP's part. She knew exactly what she was doing. Any sign of "heat" on her *** and she jumped up and ran out of here to join Beyonce and Shima:lachen::lachen::lachen:. I'm mad I actually tried to reason with her. Silly me.

Off topic but..is Shima a man? :perplexed?

Hmmm... I'm not entirely sure this isn't a joke, but if it isn't maybe it is a confidence thing (you attract what you exude).

Also noticed that my friend who is from the hood and a fantastic guy/catch seems to have a preference for girls with longer/longish/long hair-- like most men (or at least it seems that way). The pickings are slim where he comes from, so maybe that's what you mean by "better" (educated, driven, nice, honest, respectful)? I don't know.

But since I'm using him as an example, I should also say that I've seen him try to talk to girls with short/shortish healthy hair.

This whole thread just doesn't sit right with me. I'm hoping it's an age difference/growth/maturity thing, but it kinda makes me saddish. Not too sad, though. Can't be messing up my LOA!

To answer your question OP...Having longer hair has afforded me more positivity in my already upper-echelon life...

Not only have I gotten an influx of top-notch, upper crust, 5-star KANGS begging me for my phone number, but I also saved 20% on my car insurance without switching to GEICO...HOT DAMN!!!
