I wanted to try the Boundless Tresses b/c everyone on her is always raving about it, but I changed my mind after I saw the $11 shipping charge. WTF????? Why is that??? Does anyone else have a problem with paying $11 for shipping?

I ship stuff all the time via Ebay and the most I charge is $8.95 flat rate shipping. Priority mail starts at $4.60. Even with confirmation delivery and insurance it still come out less than $11.

I know I pinch pennies, but is there anyone else that agrees with me????

I must admit, that shipping charge does suck... but that's part of the cost. If you want it, you gotta pay for it. *rapping* Can't knock the hustle...

I was just thinking, if I were shipping things out, I would hike up the shipping cost too. She sends it in a pretty bottle, in a box with peanuts and she has to take it to the PO- gas is expensive. Yeah... I don't blame her.

That charge probably covers shipping AND handling. The packaging boxes, bubble wrap, etc is an added cost, so that's usually tacked on to the shipping price. However, that stuff when bought in bulk is cheap, so it shouldn't drive the S&H cost up that much. Some folks wanna get rich off of it, it seems.

Were you going to purchase the largest size BT(32oz)? If so, that's $11 for shipping, the smaller bottle (8oz) is only $7.75 for shipping. I checked because I didn't remember having to pay $11 for shipping for the smaller sized bottle.

Your lucky you can buy BT. I live in Canada and the international shipping is about $35 -50 dollars.... I want someone from the board to send it to me and I will pay them, but i dont know who I can trust. :nono:

Just Vixxen, but she has been gone for a while...:yep:

Me either. It's not like she can just put a label on the bottle with someone's name on it and mail it out without packing it in something and securing that package. If she did it any other way, people would complain that she was not professional.

I don't think that's fair to say. I'm sure she will come in this thread with her reasonings as to why.:yep:

Now, that's reasonable rates...:yep:

I hope she doesn't because it is not fair to her to have to "defend" herself everytime some starts a complaint about her business in a thread on here. I think it would be more appropriate to direct complaints and questions to her directly if they are really seeking a response.

It is not fair to her to have to defend herself when no one is questioning other sites/companies about their charges. If they don't like the charge, they don't buy those products. They can do the same with her. If they don't like her products, prices, etc., then they can opt not to buy it.

Just wanted her to have an opportunity to talk to the lady herself, since she started the thread. It is a business and if someone does have a complaint, I think its only fair that the person ask questions and get an answer.

However, the person I was talking about in my post was the person who said that "some people want to get rich..."....I wasn't talking about the OP.

what is boundless tresses? sorry people i know im late but i keep seeing people talking about BT and thats boundless tresses right? so what is it? a conditioner? vitamins? what??? sum1 tell me plz. TIA.

ITA, she should have a chance to defend herself. Especially because this was done in a public forum. I can see if one person thinks something, but when that idea is put out in the open for everyone to see, people who see it may also form their own opinions about the issue- from just the one side of the story. I think an informed person is one that can weigh their opinion from both sides of the story.:yep:

Yes, BT and Boundless Tresses are the same thing. It's an oil that's believed to help stimulate hair growth. This oil goes on your scalp only, not onto your hair.

Hey, other sites charge just about the same. Amazon, my online beauty supplies...She's just charging the status quo. Her product is worth every penny.:yep:

I order a box of amla powder, shikakai, 1 bottle of shikakai oil, 1 bottle of amla oil and it came to like 18 dollars but with shipping it was $31!!! in amazon...i wonder that too. I wonder why is it so much damn.

I seriously doubt windfalls are being made off of shipping charges. With the economy and fuel costs, sending any package is ridiculous. I sent a small box of hair products home and it cost me $20 parcel post and that is without insurance. Priority mail quote was so high, I said:nono:. Maybe there are some insurance costs factored into some shipments as well.

Ok, I need to clarify something here. When I made the comment about people 'wanting to get rich' of off S&H, that was a generalized statement, not a direct slam on the vendor themselves.

I order (and used to sell) lots of stuff from the web, and on eBay and Amazon.com in particular. Sometimes the S&H is within normal range with the sellers. But sometimes it's not and the vendor is clearly out of bounds--we're talking intracontinent shopping.

Ok, I understand. Its just that when you said it, it sounded like you were talking specifically about the person who owns BT.

Thanks for coming back in and answering my post. I appreciate it:yep:

I do agree that sometimes shipping prices are too high but then i also agree that hey i cant find it in a store near me and i really want it... i guess imma have to pay the extra shipping... i guess we gotta start making another stash in our budget for miscellaneous hair expenses lol

It did cross my mind that the shipping seemed high when I bought my BT, but I didn't sweat it because your talking about gas, packaging(nice, secure, professional) and fast service. Given those things, it's well worth it and not expensive at all. And let's not forget her great customer service!

Not only that but this is a sista, from our site, that has a product that works!

I mean some of us are willing to spend lots of money on these Indian products and give money to GNC and Puritan Pride's, and they are not Black-owned. So the least we can do is support somebody who looks like us who is making a product that works for us :yep:

I didn't think her shipping was high compared to other places. I also got my order with 4 days which was great.

Shipping for 1 bottle is not $11. Its $7.75. Shipping for 2 bottles is $11. Now you have to remember, these bottles have weight and they charge by how much the package weighs. We're not talking about a letter here. Each package wieghs at least 1 pound. Lets not forget that every package is shipped Priority 2-3 Day with signature confirmation along with the delivery confirmation. I made sure to add the siggy confirmation b/c I had lots of complaints about packages getting stolen b/c postmen were leaving them on front steps. To stop that, ya gots to sign for it. No one likes to pay shipping, including me. I try to be as fair as possible but you cant please everybody.

Well, thats what I do.

There is one company that kills me with shipping but I really like the products so I just pay it. Thats just the way it is when you order stuff online. To get it=paying to have it shipped.

Yep, that's just how it is. Shipping is costly and I think Naturallady's shipping prices fall right in line with her overhead. I didn't have a problem ordering BT because I knew it would last long and the price & shipping would be worth it for my hair.

Plus she provided excellent customer service and I could always pm her with questions. Can't beat that!

I knew you would come in to explain. Thanks...I need to order another bottle soon.

Well I still want to try it. So I'll place my order soon. I just have to get over the shipping charge. I was on another website trying to order some Indian products and the shipping was $20. I scraped that order also. I'm frugil! I admitt it!!! Didn't mean to cause an uproar, I was just a little :perplexed when I was about to get my BT.

I hope no one is  at me! :grouphug3:
