I reserve my comments until I confirm that the girl in question is not a

member of lhcf. But I think not because she's suffering from grease overload!:ohwell:

quote ' after my hair is dry and sorta straight then I grease it. Because

black hair gets really dry you have to grease it and oil it''..................
with ultrasheen jelly!

& God d*mn how much is she combing it!

......... I need to send her Macherie's youtube link.

ahh ladies stop bashing me! i didn't mean to offend anyone.

how does she manage to still have hair on her head.. I have never witnessed hair so man handled in all my life ..hair is silk...not hide that needs to be beat down

Her hair looks straight and she's talking about going home this weekend to get a perm!! Someone help this child.

Her hair looks nice and thick already with all the abuse she's giving it. Imagine if she takes care of her hair the healthy way. She'd probably be waistlength in no time. Somebody please send this girl some sistaslick articles!

I wasn't really paying attention to the video, but in the comments she said she relaxes 6-8 weeks.

From what I saw, her hair didn't look too bad, 'grease' or not.

Her hair doesn't look too bad to me either. Its not the worse I've seen done on youtube. She probably needs lighter products but obv the grease is working for her because she's retaining her length. ::shrug::

she acts like she has ADD..i mean that's alright but goodness how many times do ya have to say UM
her hair would be good-lookin and healthy if only she layed off the heat and grease and upped the moisture

Hmmmmm.... If it works for her thats great but Im SURE that wont work for every relaxed head.

I just watched her "hair update"..... She actually blow dries her hair, greases it and blow dries again... Hmmmm interesting...

Is this the girl who looked like she was in her dorm room and she said her mom did her relaxers? Her hair is pretty:grin: I went out and bought satin covered rollers after seeing that video  As for the grease...can't knock what works for her. I know people to this day w/ long thick hair that swear by some Blue Magic!

what she said.

Ole girl looks to be ahead of the game when it comes to length retention, but I could see how she could easily get to waist length and fuller hair with some tweaking of her regimen.

If it works for her obviously, so be it. My only problem with the video would be her passing this information on to others. I don't think her advice will work for most.

ITA. After I saw she was using that green Jilbere shower comb, I thought ummm she's on to a lil something.

1. she said the grease is hard when you buy it so mix in oil. if the grease is already hard how does one expect it to penetrate the hair and/ or scalp?

2. i died when she was talking about putting grease on the scalp cause black hair gets dry. if black hair gets dry, how come none of the grease is going on the hair? one chick left a comment saying how her hair keeps breaking and she has to trim it every 4 weeks. ole girl said to grease it.

3. she kept saying "GREEZED" instead of "GREASED". :wallbash: total pet peeve when people say that.

her hair is longer than mine so i can't say nothing..:look:

I do know that blow drying method will end in breakage with me so I wont try it.

This was my hair in high school. Thin and overloaded with greases, oils, oil sheens, hair polishers, etc. I thought they all moisturized. :ohwell: I was still BSL.

I watched parts 1, 2 and 3. Hey, it's working for her! Her hair does look healthy and she has a good length (see end of part 3). She does have some really good habits when it comes to caring for her hair.
It's really not that bad :nono:.
Personally...no grease for me, but I do use oils on my scalp and hair though.

Many members on here use grease successfully. Granted, she uses far too much, and doesn't have the greatest hair regimen, but her hair looks ok.

Also, many of us were ignorant about taking care of our hair before coming to this site, and believed grease was a moisturiser because we didn't know any better. Why not just send her a link to this site, or give her come advice on Youtube, rather than subject her to judgement and criticism?

You know thats right!

GOOD POINT! Its easy to critize other peoples hair than to try to help them but I think that comes from the many times you attempt to give HAIR HELP and the person doesn't want to hear it.
my problem with this video is the advice she is giving to others :nono:

My relaxed hair loved grease, oils, and all the wrong stuff. My hair used to be long like hers back in the day. Some of my friends do even worse things than that and they still have long hair. Go figure.

to each her own. unless she's on a quest for waist-length hair or wants more movement/body... whatever, i'm not saying anything. she is obviously happy with her regimen and her hair's current state.

i wouldn't have followed her advice even back when i was relaxed... i know that stuff isn't gonna make my hair grow. just like some people aren't gonna follow my advice because they know it won't work for their hair.

at the time I wanted to say some brutal things! but if she was a member I would've been nicer about it and tried to adivise her.

very interesting:ohwell: so If she was a member you'd 'play nice', but since you don't know if she is, she's 'free game' for you say whatever....... very interesting

Whatever gets the job done, I suppose. Good for her! I can't help but wonder how her hair would be if she switched out the grease for an oil, did massages, used a gentler touch, stretched longer between TU's, cowashed, DC'd, etc.

Her hair looks pretty to me. It looks thick and she has good length. You can tell she is trying to take care of her hair so I'm not gonna judge her.

She may not be a member of hair boards so she dosen't know the things we know now. I'm sure a lot of us were doing the same things she was doing (or worse) before we found hair boards.....I know I was.
