November 2015 : Hits & Misses

Hit... maybe a mega hit: Mystic Divine Nourishing Conditioner

I put it on and it immediately made my hair feel softer (but I know that can be deceiving)...I accidently left it on for 8 hours and noticed that the conditioner didn't feel as soft as it had when I first put it on but when I washed it out my hair was detangled and moisturized, but not too moisturized, and "firm". I blow dried my hair and I love it. It's noticeably shinier, well conditioned and soft without being mushy. I also lost very, very few hairs rinsing the conditioner out, combing and blow drying. I only bought the packet but it's definitely a repurchase.

Two new hits:

-Redken Extreme Builder Plus Fortifying Mask in the jar - it made my hair feel wonderfully soft and strong.

-Matrix Biolage Hydrasource Aloe Conditioning Balm, I have to be honest, I was not expecting much from this but wow, my hair felt uber soft. I love them both a lot.

I just realized that I didn't post the conditioners I used last week that were also hits :

-Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Mask - probably the best treatment mask I've ever used to date. It left my hair soft, strong, nourished, and rejuvenated.

-I also used Redken All Soft Treatment Mask in the tube. This is getting difficult to cut back my stash because I'm loving everything so far.

Continued hits:

- Steaming to deep condition
- Pre-shampooing with oils for hours
- Bringing back the shampoo
- Whittling down my stash
- Simple regimen
- Being open to using different brands and incorporating "bad" ingredients in my regimen

- Finding good leave in sprays on the ground (Shea Moisture Kids Detangler and Aveeno Leave - In Treatment)
- Retaining more hair
- Fuller hair

All the bolded @CodeRed, I cosign on for me as "super hits" and working on the pre-pooing. I don't ever remember to do it but it is a great practice for keeping my hair from feeling too dry throughout the cleansing experience.

Hits:
Washing hair on Sundays and airdrying in braids before detangling.
Peppermint oil in my shampoo (Crème of Nature)
adding aloe juice to my moisturizer
liquid gold oil on my scalp 3x week

Miss:
detangling soaking wet hair :(

@Prettymetty, I was using AVJ in my moisturizer spray then read about AVG. It does even better for me, so I'm using the rest of my AVJ as a pre-poo under coconut oil. Just saying.

Hit : Agadir Argan Oil Spray Treatment. Left hair really shiny and silky. Applied before blow dry as well as during flat iron.

Miss: Devacurl decadence no poo and conditioner. They felt weird on my hair. I will give another try so maybe on the fence but certainly was not worth the cost...

Continuous Guaranteed Hit

APB -Annabelle's Perfect Blends (Etsy)
Refresher spray & leave in spray - They impart incredible moisture to my hair.

APB - Ayurvedic Cream
This is my do or die guarantee moisture cream. I never need to use a sealer with it. It works as a moisturizing cream and sealer for my hair

APB - Green powerhouse oil
This is my boo thang oil. Talk about soft silky hair. It's very light too.

Jakeala (Etsy)
Shea Alma Parfait - one of the best whipped butters I've used to seal my ends.

I will always keep these items stocked, double stocked, tripled stocked in my stash...

Mega hit: Mane n' Tail Deep Moisturizing Conditioner

My strands feel just as pretty as they look :love4: I seriously can't believe I didn't at least try this before now. It's thick, goes on smooth and isn't really "fragrant". I lost very few strands while washing this out and blow drying and my hair is about 3 months post relaxer. I have a soft sheen to my hair, body and it's soft. This is definitely a staple. Love it.

NEW HITS:
moisturizing & sealing with My Honey Child organic styling creme & buttery soy (soft, manageable hair, especially my new growth)

ORS Shealicious Cleansing Balm )cleans the hair very well without stripping & it smells like cotton candy - yum!)

Taaliah Waajid Protective Mist Bodifier (used it as a moisturizer and it worked great; not as great for me as a leave-in)
