Did you give your venue an undercount to account for no shows? How much did you under count by? I gave my final count like Saturday and got two more RSVPs. I'm debating not saying anything to the venue…lol

@Menina Preta No, I gave an accurate count to my caterer and I had people who didn't show up or cancelled at the last minute ( I took the loss). For seating purposes/place setting you need to give an accurate count unless you are just having a cocktail reception.

I agree with above, I gave an accurate count just to be safe and Ill just take the loss if necessary. Id rather have too much food than not enough (even tho our venue provides enough for 10% over the planned amount).

I'm just going to keep it as is for now, b/c with the amount of food we have, we can definitely have 1 to 2 extra people and they will be served just fine. We did not request meal preferences prior to the wedding, people order there, so they must have a good amount of each dish to account for this.
