Are there any natural 4a/4b ladies that have tried oyin handmade? If so, which products have you tried? How do you like them?

Subbing. I've heard only good things about this brand so far.

The only negative I hear is that it takes forever for the products to come once you've ordered. That's not so bad though.

Can't wait to see/read the responses. I'm 3c/4a but very interested in trying some of this line.

I have tried the burnt sugar pomade... can you say im in love? It smooths my edges down great, great for taking down twistouts and braidouts to prevent frizz, and it smells like dessert. i love it!

yea it did take like a month but i think that's because of the snow storm that happened at the time i ordered mine

The burnt suagr pomade, and the juices and berries leave in as well.

the juices and berries did nothing for me. The burnt sugar pomade leave my hair all cottony and fluffy! I love them! And it smells good! Will definatley be purchasing this again.

I love love love love Oyin Handmade with some few exceptions.

1) Honey Hemp: don't waste your time, it tangles up my hair to the point where I want to rip it out. It doesn't matter if I use it alone or mix it with another conditioner. Also sucks as a leave in.

Ok now on to the good stuff. LOL

2) Whipped Pudding: I love love love this. It's a wonderful leave in, leaves my hair feeling nice and smooth and hydrated.

3) Shine & Define: Works really well with the Whipped Pudding, keeps my hair smooth and shiny and is great for braid/twist outs.

4) Burnt Sugar Pomade: I have a heavy hand so it can be greasy but now what I do is apply Whipped Pudding, and then take a dab of the pomade to seal.

5) Greg's Juice: I'll come back with my review on this, I recently placed an order from NC.

I like Oyin. I use the whipped pudding for my heavy moisturizer (immediately after washing only) and the Honey Hemp for a lighter mid-week moisturizing. I don't moisturize often. I use oil at other times.

I like Juices and Berries' scent, but it doesn't do much for my hair. I don't find shine and define to be particularly special, but it's not bad. I don't need anything to help define my . . . anything.

I have used the burnt sugar pomade for my twists and I really liked it, the smell is to die for:blush:

So far I've only tried the Whipped Pudding and I liked it but I wish that it came in a bigger size. It seems like I went through very quickly.

My sis (4a) tried the Honey Hemp Conditioner for detangling and hated it. It was too thin.

Hmmm...glad I wasn't the only one:perplexed. I really didn't think that the HHC did much for my hair. Dont get me wrong, the smell is great, but the actual product leaves much to be desired for me.

The first time I used it as a leave in conditioner...my hair just laughed at me. The second time I used as a detangling conditioner and it seemed to work better.

Order from www.curlmart.com if possible because they ship ALOT fast than the company. The down side is the company seems to take FOREVER sending curl mart their product.

I do like the juice and berries and the hemp conditioner was a waste of money.

i am a 3c/4a and i love oyin.

the honey hemp conditioner is a staple. it moisturizes my hair like no other and it is an awesome detangler on dry or wet hair. i usually use this on dry hair for a deep conditioning unless i co wash with it.

juices and berries. i love this in the summer. or i use it right before i hop in the shower and my hair ends up so soft. i only use this on dry hair as a refresher.

burnt sugar pomade. smells delish. i use it to smooth the front of my hair back for a puff and i also use it for braid outs. i love this stuff. it can get greasy if you use too much though.

shine and define and whipped pudding. i feel the same about both of these. they are just ok for me. they use to be staples but i found some better but they are not bad. ok moisture and definition for twist and braid outs.

honey wash. hated it. hated it.

I  Oyin.

-Juices N Berries is a staple of mine. I mix it 50/50 with water and use as a leave in. If I want to revive my twist out the next morning all I have to do is spray, fluff and go. Keeps my hair moisturized and smells awesome.

-Burnt Sugar Pomade is a life saver! I use it to lightly smooth my hair back into a puff and seal it with castor oil. Gives definition to my waves and keeps my hair extremely soft. If I want a stronger hold I use gel on top of it and it keeps my hair from becoming hard.

-Honey Wash works great for me. It gives a hair a nice clean feeling without drying it out like most shampoos do. I've also used it as a body wash and it was okay.

-Honey Hemp Conditioner was okay. It was a little too runny for me and it didn't give me the amount of moisture I wanted. I used it as a plain conditioner and as a deep conditioner. I purchased it once and won't purchase it again.

-Whipped Pudding was moisturizing. It was a tiny bit heavy for my hair but nothing to complain about. I ordered it once, but I found something that worked better for my hair. I am trying to use only one product line so that I can cut down on shipping cost. Since I have almost everything else I need with Oyin I may order it again.

I always order from curlmart.com because shipping is faster and I believe cheaper for me. I usually buy two of the Juices N Berries at one time because curlmart seems to be out of stock when I'm running low and I need to re-order.

I just ordered the sample pack 2 weeks ago, so I will report back when I use it/get it in the mail. So disappointed about the Honey Hemp conditioner. I've been on the lookout for a great DC since Jane Carter changed their formula.

Oyin sells a sample pack which I got when I wanted to try out the products, which I loved. I recently purchased full sizes of the Grand Poo bar, Honey Hemp conditioner, Whipped Pudding and Greg Juice. I love the whipped pudding for twisting & I spray my twists everyday with Greg Juice. The shampoo bar & conditioner are now in my regular washing rotation.

I really want to try Oyin's juices, but can't decide on which! I probably will buy all three :perplexed

Thanks for the reviews on the Honey Hemp. It got great reviews on Curlmart and NaturallyCurly though.

I loved the burnt pomade mixed with honey hemp and greg juice for twisting.

I also use the honey hemp to deep condition.

The whip pudding kind of dries my hair out.

I've been natural for over 8 years now and this is the first time that I've actually found something that made my 4b/c hair soft consistently and smells good too.

Thank you Oyin!

i am transitioning but i have tried it on my new growth..and my kinky curly weave lol. the juices and berries i love the smell, but sometimes i cant stand the feeling or resideue that is left on my hands, sort of sticky. maybe i should try dilluting it with water. the burnt sugar pomade is great for twists and provides great moisutre. why cant this stuff be edible too! smells like pancakes and maple syrup and candy corn lol. the whipped butter is ok not the greatest in the world but it does its job of moisturizing. the greg juice definetly needs to be diluted with water it leaves a sticky feeling to my hair. lastly the shine and define works very well as far as good for hold.

I liked the Karen's Body Beautiful Hair Milk a lot better. They are on the expensive side for me though @ $16 a bottle and their shipping is way too slow for me. I've only ordered once from Karen's also, so I don't know which company I'm going to order from once the hair milk runs out.

I've used the honey hemp conditioner as a leave in for years now. Like the whipped pudding and the shine and define. I used the body oil, the body butter bar and greg's juice. I did not like the berry juice and I did not like the shampoo bar.

I may just try the pomade based on how many mentions it has gotten.

update. I received the Oyin Greg Juice yesterday and commenced to spritzing and sealed with shine and define. When I spritzed I initially thought I don't feel any difference between this and the cheaper spray that I had been using but when I woke up I noticed that my hair was noticeably softer and my braid out was more defined (I mean seriously defined). I will see if this continues with repeated use. If it does then I'll be sticking with Oyin

4B here.
I used the Honey and Hemp conditioner and Juices and Berries leave in spray.
The Conditioner did nothing but make my hair feel like it would break if I touched it with a feather.
Juices and Berries I absolutely love! I spray this on my twists and when I take them down, they feel fantastically soft. My hair doesn't like oils or heavy moisturizers so this works great for me. The only downsides are that the spray gets clogged all the time and my hair smelt so good, I got stung on the head by a persistent wasp last summer!! lol
Honestly, I will keep using Juices and Berries but all around I prefer KBB =)

I tried quite a few of her products and they were all great.

Even the I think it was called funkbutter it was an underarm cream deoderant was my favorite, but she and I tried to figure out what I was allergic to because it left dark rings under my arm.

Quality of the products were always great. I stopped using the line a while back. Nothing negative, just like more of the oils, butters and ayurvedic products.
