In the summer I wash/co wash ever other day. My 4b hair likes the moisture, and it keeps my scalp from getting tight? Usually I have braids or a weave when I wash so frequently. I won't wash that often in the winter, though.

I was washing daily for the longest time, but as soon as my hair got long enough for second day and beyond hair, I got a little sidetracked.

Perks of daily cowashing:
best growth/retention
more moisturized hair
less ssk
no need to DC
no need to worry about styling (I just wash n'go)
no heat
no tension on hair line

I jumped off my routine when my hair got longer because you don't see too many BSL+ 4a/4b naturals who wear wash n'goes 90% of the time :look:. Plus I started getting ssk, but later I realized that I get them no matter what. The only downside I see to daily cowashing is having the same style day in and out :lachen:.

I will only cowash daily if my hair is twisted/braided. I would not do this loose. At the end of last year my hair was almost BSL, and in hopes of reaching WL by end of this year, I started wet bunning. My hair broke off from the constant manipulation and tangles and I did not move from almost BSL and my ends were messed up. Once I started back to twisting/braiding, then bunning wet/dry beginning June of this year, my hair is now almost MBL

I don't co wash/wash daily but I will cowash or shampoo every 3 to 4 days. I too feel like my hair stays moisturized this way and it DEFINITELY cuts down on tangles. I was washing/cowashing once a week and i lost what I thought was a considerable amount of hair, now I loose next to nothing detangling.. I love it!!

I wash every 3-4 days.. I don't generally like to go longer than that... I think washing and condition or just co-washing does help me with moisture.
