Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!!!!! just stepping in to say that. I cowash once or twice a week.

i use to wash everyday, but it takes up too much product to do it everyday. so its every 4days for me. and might i add, other black people look at me like im crazy when i tell them how often i wash. are they serious?

I co-wash daily in loose hair and pull it back in a low puff or 2 puffs. My hair stays less tangled and the moisture helps me retain length. This works for now at my length but I will probably chage it up as my hair grows longer.

I wash every 3 days (sometimes 4 if I'm lazy or busy when the 3rd day comes around). I wash in 4 sections held loosely with ouchless bands. I've seen a difference in my moisture levels since starting to wash every 3 days instead of every Friday.

I use to cowash daily when I had a TWA, but as my hair grew it stayed wet all day and I couldn't deal with that.

I don't, but I should start - or at least wet my hair. My hair LOVES the water. I want to get a water filter for the hard water in the area I live though.

everytime i start to wash/cowash daily, I realize three important things:
-my scalp loves it, and it's nice to have hair that smells like Aussie Moist :D
-my styling options are limited due to shrinkage.....and that's a deal-breaker for me.
-my ends definitely don't like it and start to get rebellious by producing tons of single strand knots

so...my conclusion?? i do it anyways, sometimes, but i'm aware that it's not the best for my ends and personal style preferences.

I wash daily and it actually helps me to keep tangles to a minimum. I used to wait so long in between washes, that I would have major tangles. So I made the assumption that my hair just tangles badly. But when I started to wash more often and detangle lightly with fingers throughout the week and with a comb once a week, I noticed that my hair didn't have enough time to form major tangles.

It is extra work for me to do this, but I never wear my hair straight so that helps. My hair seems a lot healthier for it. I also love that my hair smells fresh everyday.

I agree, because I had the same tangle problem the last time I was natural.

Its good to hear other's who wash daily. I co-wash twice daily, and my hair stays moisturized, I love it. I don't know how often I will poo yet, but I'm sticking with this regimen.

How many others?

im under a wig in cornrows..i use gel and workout..so i co wash my braids like 4-5x a week and rinse my hair fairly often.my hair loves it..idk if i could do it if my hair was "out"..too much time

My vote is every other day or once a week (especially in the winter) I use to cowash daily..till I realized that the manipulation was a bit much on my hair... Now I try to stretch it as much as possible..

i was cowashing daily, but the constant manipulation makes my ends rough and split and i end up needing to trim every 2 months. now im washing every 3-4 days and my hair is more moisturized, easier to detangle, and faring better in the growth and retention department.

Only in the hot summer months while my hair is cornrowed.

Lose hair and daily / everyother day cowashing would equal never ending SSK

I wash weekly. I noticed that since my hair has reached BSL, I am getting major tangles unlike before which will inhibit my retention. I wash once a week because it takes so much time due to the thickness, but maybe I can try to cowash mid-week to combat the tangles since some of you are having success this way.

In the summer I was cowashing pretty much daily. I would just wear WnG and WnG puffs. I grew bored of them and then started twisting my hair. My hair was soft but it seemed I lost a lot of hair detangling with a denman everyday.

I can't wait to go back to washing my hair. I noticed when I oiled my hair overnight and rinsed next day my growth took off. I am not sure how long my hair is now because I am in yarn braids but I am still in the TWA stage.

Yeah, Aussie Moist Conditioner is just AMAZING! Since the last time I posted in this thread, I still wash once every 1-2 weeks. I cannot wash daily. I do not want to deal with wet natural hair everyday. Aussie Moist Conditioner actually aids my hair in order to avoid daily washing. I just use a moisturizing spray (African Royale BRX spray), apply Aussie Moist as a leave-in, and smooth my hair into a bun. No combing/detangling. Doing this routine minimizes tangles and shrinkage.

I do know that it has to get wet, sometimes I may just co wash once I wet it but I wont pick unless H20 has been put on it. It's wonderful.

I used to cw everyday. Now I shampoo and condition every three days, usually with Aussie Moist shampoo and conditioner.

I used to co-wash everyday when I wet bunned last year but now that I'm experimenting with dry styles I've slowed down to co-washing about 2 to 3 days a week, I use poo once a week.

Knowing me I'll go back to wet bunning/co-washing daily once it starts getting warmer outside...especially since I achieved my greatest retention by wet bunning. :yep:

Summer after my big chop I was cowashing daily. Winter its every other day just about. Shampoo once a wk and DC once a wk. My hair luvs water and I cant wait to get back to cowashing daily. I also wash in twist and dont have any tangles or knots when I twist out.

Not really daily but maybe 4-5 times for a spell. When I was wearing twists, I would have to CW every day after baggying because in the AM, the twists would be doing a Twilight Zone dance and I find that when I wet them and let them drip dry, not only to they hang straight but the ends also seem to coil and seal in a neat way. If I wasn't going to wear them down, I'd still CW and towel dry because when they are wet, they are stretchy and therefore easy to style.

I stopped CWing daily when I realized that some styles could survive the night so all I'd have to do in the AM is take off my baggy and either don the phony puff or just take off the baggy and head to work.

Oh em gee! I am so happy to be in this thread not talking about the past. I will be co-washing every day. Although, I don't have much to co-wash. My hair is 1/4" - 1/2" long. I need to buy products. I will continue using my shampoo and conditioner though.

I agree with above-Filmatic. I wash twice a week with Hair Rules Daily Cleansing Cream. I don't go more than 3-4 days without washing. The daily cleansing cream is sooo good. For me its like doing a co wash but without the buildup on the scalp or film on hair. I just get clean moisturized hair and scalp. I have tried regular conditioners to co wash but I never got good results. The cream is expensive but I stock up when I can and a little goes a long way. I love it.

I used to wash daily. I felt so free being able to add water to my hair without worry, and definitely my hair benefits from the moisture. I only stopped because I want to minimise manipulation. I quite like Longhaircare2011's regime. i use a lot of product so she recommended twice a month which I followed. Works for me. I have next to nothing hair loss now!. APL here I come! :) :) :)

i wet my hair daily and co wash every other day....I use to co wash daily...still trying to get the right product to work with ecostyler gel....
