I got this e-mail too and I'm wondering if this new design will make things easier. It looks like it might be better.
You all are going to love the new design. It is one piece that snaps only on the end on the barrette, no middle piece. It looks even more natural then the original. I have been receiving a lot of email about the functionality of it, so I will be sending an email out tonight to those on my email list to show how it looks/works.

what is the return policy?
When you receive it if it does not work for you, send it back for a full refund less shipping.

Only 2 have been returned, one because her hair was too thick (we have designed a new clip that fits all of the barrettes and accomodates the thick hair) and the other one ordered a kinky and then straightened her hair and no longer wanted it.

We just ask that you return it within 7 days if you decide not to keep it. My policy is to toss any returns because of sanitary reasons. Both of these clips were thrown away.

rainy I am loving your UPA clip and barrette. Its a good match!

I have had my UPA clip in my hair since October and its helps me out a lot. Im going to relax my hair soon so I will look at my ends to see if they are healthier.

I broke one of the barrettes too while I was trying to change it :ohwell: .
Just Give me the barrette number of the one that you broke and I will mail you out another one immediately.

Please please send them back if it breaks. We use 3 different clips and I need to know which one is presenting a problem. I have worn mine for years and have never broken one, but there may be a problem with a particular batch of clips that I purchase from China.

Also, just go to my web site and sign up on the mailing list if you would like to be kept informed by email about the UPA Clip updates and sales promotions. We have dramatically reduced the prices just for the holiday period.

I didn't break the barrette...I broke the actual clip, with the hair on it!
I would definately email her about that, I'm sure she will work with you on getting that fixed.

I'll see if I can post the email she sent with the new design.

New Design!!!

Sorry about the flub I tried to edit but for some reason it didn't take. I just wanted you all to see how the clip looks on natural hair. The color is a shade off because I ordered the clip when my hair was a little lighter but since this pic I put a dark brown rinse on the clip and it looks great, no one can tell it's not my hair. As everyone has said the cust. serv. is phenomenal.

I have a new Kinky hair that I think you will like even better. It does not have the curl pattern in it and I think it will match your hair even better. I will send it to you in the next week or so. Let me know if you are really happy with the color you selected.

I have a question. What part of the barrette is actually touching your hair? Is it the metal of the barrette? Is their any way to keep the hair protected from that metal cutting into the actual hair?

No metal ever touches your hair. The metal on the clips is covered with the hair. The only thing touching your hair is the hair on the UPA Clip. There are a couple of post from others regarding this in this thread. The UPA Clip is an excellent protective style.

Wow! That sounds great then!! I will definitely check out the site. The only thing is that I henna'd my hair and have thesse reddish 33 looking highlights. I guess my hair would be a miss of 1b and 33.

No problem, just tell me how much of the 33 that you want mixed into the 1B, 5%, 50%, etc.

I want to try this too but it seems so complicated. you buy the pony tail and then order the clips too? I want to order this next month. I also do not understand how you can have the baggie under there too. It seems complicated and extremely expensive.

It's not complicated at all go to her website www.laceflair.com you select what you want (your hair type and color and barrette) place an order and you will receive the ponytail. If you want to you can use the baggie method because the pony encompasses all your hair .Personally, I do my baggie at night and I just put my own pony in the clip. Not expensive at all for human hair , go to the site and check it out.

Trudy, it is not complicated at all. You put the UPA Clip on just like you would put a barrette around your own natural ponytail and snap it shut. The ony difference is that the UPA Clip has hair on each metal piece and sandwiches your hair between the hair on the clips. You can actually put a UPA Clip on in seconds with one hand while driving  , I do it often. When going from one place to another and for a different look I will change UPA Clip or change the barrette on my way there while driving.

As far as the cost is concerned, we use 100% human hair, quality barrettes and great craftsmanship. You are actually getting a lot for your money. And if you take care of the hair on the UPA Clip, it will last you for years. You wash and condition the hair weekly.

Also, the UPA Clip comes free with one barrette, (B01) and you can purchase more if you like.

I just got my UPA clip, it's nice but the texture seems so straight to me...I will see what my results look like when I do a good press to get my hair straight, I'm just afraid the texture is slightly too silky for me...

No problem Alli, send it back and I will send you coarse yaki hair. You want something that you can wear most of the time not just when your hair is pressed real straight. My address is on the envelope. Please let me know who you are (I cannot identify you by Alli77) and put a note in the envelope when you return it.

Thanks

Wow Michelle, you're quick!! I'll send it back on Monday, thanks for understanding! I really love the barette too, overall the peice is gorgeous it's just that I have texturized hair and it takes some work to make it straight. Thanks for understanding.

My new afro textured one just arrived. It's on the new smaller clip. The texture is awesome. I can't wait until these twists are out. :)

I thought the new clip was just more of a rounded shape.....I didn't know it was smaller? Does it look like it would hold the same amount of hair inside. I haven't worn mine in a while but when I do, I stuff my hair with a baggie over it into the clip and it always felt like it might break from all the stuffing.

I'm thinking it looks shorter and rounder, but I'm not sitting in front of it right now. It's at home. I'll check it out when I get back.

Maybe you need a thick hair clip on it. Send it to me and I will put the clip for thick hair on it. It still fits all of the barrettes, just room for a lot more hair.
