Dang, I was on the fence about ordering one, now I have to do it before March 26th. I have had so many drawstrings, elastic ones and hated each and every one...never wore any of them, wasted money because it just did not look right where it met my own hair or fear of it falling off or damaging. Guess I have to take the chance now!

My interview was with Oprah's producers. The interview was to determine if I will be on Oprah's show with the UPA Clip. The interview went very very very well and I am 99.9% confident that it will happen. I will know for sure in the next couple of weeks.

My husband came up with a great idea. If the Oprah thing does happen that will be SO HUGE. How about an all expense paid trip to a set location for my LHCF sisters and their escort???? You all have helped to make this all happen. Limos to pick you up at the airport to your hotels and then dinner and dance and everyone has to wear their UPA Clip. How much fun would that be???? It would have to be first come first served because there are thousands of us. It would be so much fun for some of you who have become so close online but have not met in person. I am so excited just thinking about it.

So, keep those prayers coming cause they are working!!!!!

Congrats! I hope all goes well. You deserve the best. You'd better talk to Oprah about some production hook-ups. Once you appear there you will be instantaneously swamped and nothing will kill you faster than having a great product but not being to produce enough fast enough, from a customer service standpoint. There are a lot of good and inexpensive production facilities/companies in China and India that do quality work. That is if you need large quantities done. Being that the clips are really custom, you may have to contract on a monthly volume commitment. Just a few free planning notes for you. Oprah should have some good contacts though.

Thanks so much and great minds think alike. I have already contracted with a company that does distribution here but manufacturing in China. This became necessary for me before the Oprah opportunity came to light. Great part is, since my hair also comes from China, my hair will no longer have to go through customs to the US with costly fees. The hair will stay right there in China and ship here once the hair is completed on the clips and on the standard barrettes that they will be sold on. This same company will be making all of my barrettes. That is what they actually do. They are currently hiring and training staff to construct the hair on the clips. I have okayed the quality of their work and we have already signed legal documents and have a solid deal.

QA will be done in China and also again once it comes here. I have staff here that handles the QA and packaging.

Most of my orders are not custom. Only a few of them are. Most people have the same hair colors and I know the most common colors. I will maintain a staff in my building who will process the custom orders that are often times overnight service (they pay big time for that).

I am in the process of setting up a marketing and customer service department. Customer service is my biggest focus because I know that is a huge part of what keeps a company successful.

So, you can see, I am quite far along and really thinking it all through. I do have professionals in the business assisting me as well. but they charge too much, so my husband and I are most of the brains behind it all.

I'm very interested in buying one of these, but I'm not sure about this barette thing. My hair is ubber thick and very curly/coily. How does this clip actually attach to a thick ponytail?

Also, how can I be certain that I'll have hair that matches my own? Do we submit photos?

Maibaby, I sent a hair strand...about 3 inches or so......so she could match texture, thickness and color; she did a good job. The UPA is a simple, interchangeable clip, no one knows unless I explain the attachment to them...it'll do fine with your hair. Contact Michelle directly.

Yes, you can submit a photo and if we are not sure about your hair needs then we will let you know.

We have special clips for exceptionally thick hair that fit all of the same barrettes as listed on our website.
