HIT!!!!!
African's Best Organic Carrot oil cream. I finally found HG moisturizer!!!! 10 time better than Mango butter from Elasta Qp and easier on my pockets! It slicks and moisturizer, it hit two birds with one stone! I'm in love!

What are the ingredients of your carrot oil cream? Sounds good. I may put that on my list after I dwindle down my items.

I doctored up the Mane N' Tail conditioner, because everyone was complaining about how hard it left their hair. I doctored it up by adding 14 different oils plus shea butter, cocoa butter, Verifen Complex detangler spray, and Gueye leave in treatment.

I haven't taken it to my hair salon yet for testing, but I hope it works well. If not, I have another 32 ounce bottle to doctor up with a different formula.

Yes, I'm seriously thinking about using Nexxus Therappe on my kitchen floor instead of giving it away. I don't want anyone complaining to me if it doesn't work.

Mane N Tail makes some people's hair hard? I never have that problem with it thank goodness. Just the opposite exactly. It is quite moisturizing for me.

That's been my daily moisturizer for a month or two now, and I really like it.:D

Girl, you too much with dat white writing!! :lachen:

Not to be a pusha, buuuuutttt, I know you would like the Africa's Best leave-in mayo. The ingriedients are similar to the shea butter detangling lotion, but in a slightly different order. However the leave in mayo is silicone free, there are 2 cones in the shea butter one. So when you want to treat yourself, I think this would be a good indulgance.

Question...

I mostly do co-washes, I was wondering do you get build-up from this product? I don't like to poo but I will if I have to, that just how much love this stuff.

 ....I think I'll give it a whirl after touch up time.....I don't want to mess around with anything new right now...hopefully by the end of the month - I can give my feedback...;)

Do you use the moisturizing formula or the original formula? I have two 32 ounce bottles of the original formula. I'm looking forward to using it.

I can't tell if I get build-up from this product alone, but I shampoo my hair 2x per week. I'm pretty heavy handed when I use my oils for sealing (I'm trying to lighten up, though)! You may just have to try it and see how it works for you.

Undecided:

Herbal Essences Degunkify Tingling Deep Cleaning Shampoo - It degunkified my hair, but there was no tingle. I only purchased it because I wanted to feel a tingle.

Miss:

Praital Moisturizing Cream Silk Worm - I used it last month and it was a hit for me, but this month it is a big miss. Left my hair feeling coated with no shine :nono: I will only use this while I am bunning.

So far this month I am hitting. My hair is really growing well. I really think that I could (forget could will) be at shoulder length by December. As long as I keep my scissor happy stylist out of my head. The last time I went to her she wanted to clip my ends again after two weeks. I am sick of her, she is trying to cut every bit of my growth out of my head. I am not going back to her because I think that there it a serious problem with someone obssessed with cutting someone's hair. I can get my aunt to put my relaxers in from now on or I will have to do them myself. I love being in the midst of people who have the same goal as I do. The layers in my hair are growing out great. I see an improvement every two weeks. Thanks for the support yall. As far as heat is concerned, I only use heat once or twice a week. I think that is good for me. I would like to not have to use heat at all but hopefully the longer my hair gets the less I'll need it. I planned on leaving a small comment and ended up venting. I will post pics when I get to my goal.

Hit: Dabur Vatika Coconut oil

I love this stuff. The smell is incredible and it is soo light. This will now be my staple oil that I'll use to seal and apply on my scalp regularly. I have braids right now so I've been oiling my scalp and new growth with it and I'm very impressed. My new growth is sooo soft; I love it. I also unbraided one of my braids to see the result of applying it on the shaft and ends and it provided a breautiful shine. This is one is definitely a keeper.

HITS:
ORS Lye Normal Relaxer
Porosity Control conditioner (used to neutralize hair after relaxer)
Affirm 5-n-1 Reconstructor (this stuff is ooey gooey slippery heaven:) )

Also, clarifying before using Aveda Damage Remedy Shampoo and treatment is the ONLY way to go:look:

Not Sure: Mizani Night Treatment. I used it on my ends, and it made them very soft but I am not sure if it helps with breakage because fortunately my hair was not breaking off. I purchased it because I thought I would be experiencing breakage after my relaxer, but didn't.

HIT: Loreal Vive Pro Nutri-gloss conditioner

Okay so I admit it Loud and Proud - I am a PJ!

I had to buy it. The pretty pink bottles were just calling my name. I am glad I did.

I am already a HUGE fan of Loreal Vive conditioners so I was sure this one would be no different.

I just used it tonight - Slip and Softness!!!

You know soon as I said cheapie conditioners don't work for my hair ...

Yesterday I picked up some Garnier Fructis Leave In cause I wanted to use a water based leave in but was strapped for cash.

Well this 3 dollar bottle worked beautifully. I put it on last night, sealed it with castor oil and covered with my bonnet. Woke up to soft supple shiny hair that was even more moist feeling then just using castor oil alone.

Imma keep using it. Hopefully it'll stay true to me.;)

Hit:
-NTM Silk Touch leave in...my hair LOVES it, glad I got on the bandwagon
-Proclaim Olive Oil Wrap Set Mousse....great stuff and CHEAP at Sally's
-Organic Coconut Oil...Excellent for the hair AND body!
-Dr. Miracle Temple Balm....My edges are looking lush after only about 2 weeks, I love it

Miss:
-Nexxus Keraphix....I'm sticking to Emergencee, I wasn't impressed with this
-African Pride Leave in Hair Mayo
-Optimum Oil Moisturizer 3 in 1 moisturizer....eww, my hair felt awful after using this for a few days

HIT: Rollersetting while in the last stages of stretching.

It kept me from having to manipulate it much,(which is key around 9 weeks or so) I just keep my scalp oiled, put a lil bit of glosser on my hair, shake and go. I've also noticed that my rollerset lasts longer when its 2+ months post relaxer. This is definately a keeper protective style.

HIT: My scalp oil mix: Coconut oil is the base, rosemary EO, a squirt of emu oil and vatika oil.

I'm not sure if any other part of my regime has contributed to this or not but I have had alot of newgrowth every since using this. Normally, I try to stretch to 9 weeks or so, but as of late, my hair has been demanding relaxers right after 6 weeks.

There's a hugh thread where quite a number of women talk about Mane N Tail conditioner. In fact, I think its the largest thread on this forum. That's how I know it left quite a number of its users with hard hair; that is, those who used it straight from the bottle without "doctoring it up."

Fantasia IC heat protector serum
FHI 207 RVI flat iron

Nexxus Humectress

Still on the fence:

Vitapointe Creme Hairdress.
I skipped over this product so many time in the stores but one of my biggest hair inspirations and product pusher (See, I didnt become a PJ totally on my own.) said try it because it really helped her hair. I finally tried it this morning and I like it just as much as the Aveda Styling Cream. With that being said, I am going to save that Aveda money and buy more Vitapointe! I love this place!! Thanks Tsmith

(I only picked this up this morning because I couldn't put my hand on the Aveda right away. I love it!)

Hits: Proclaim Natural 7 Oil. Smells sooooo good:) and just as good as Hot 6!

I did my post-relaxer Aphogee treatment, and I decided to use the ORS Replenishing Pak as my "balancing moisturizer." Even though it does have a touch of collagen protein, this really works more as a moisturizing conditioner and is a good choice for after the treatment.

Miss: Silk Elements Stimulating Herbal Shampoo. I thought it would make my scalp feel fresh, it really just stripped my hair like a clarifying shampoo.

It's funny, I don't like the Vitapointe as much as I like the Aveda Universal Styling Creme. I am not sure why. I think the Vitapointe did not make my hair feel as soft - or something like that. I used Vitapointe and it was nice. I used Aveda Styling creme and was like  I still have that tube of Vitapointe. I need to try it again now that I use the Aveda daily. I think I can compare them better now.

Hmmmm, My relaxer is fresh. Not sure if that might be why this Vitapointe is like liquid gold but it just amazing. I will keep using it a few weeks within my relaxer to see if there is any difference. I just love it now. The reason why I think I like it just as much as the Aveda (and you see I never said more since I really love the Aveda also.) is the Vitapointe gives me a nice shine. I get no shine with Aveda. :ohwell:
