I heard the Ojon products are great.
I hope to get some soon.
They are great, I have the mist (that I actually stole from my mom). It's running out, but when I went to go buy some, it was $30!!!! I had to hold out on that.

Long hair has never been a rarity here in NYC.. I see heads of long healthy hair every day .
For me, no, not in the midwest. When I lived in NYC I saw a lot of black women with longer hair..apl and longer.
I believe it is a mix of L.O.A. and the six degrees of seperation.
Almost every bw out there(at least in the us) is somehow connected to someone that is on a hairboard or into black healthy hair,as the knowledge slowly seeps through our general conscious the perception of bw's hair will change
Here in LA I just see more and more WEAVES. A lot of them are soooo obvious! No1s wearing their hair naturally [curly]. All straightened, whether relaxed or pressed. Tha ones w/o a weave...... SL or shorter. Ate up, thin edges/ends. I seen this one chick with huge bald spots on each side of her hairline, the size of fists. I only seen, at the most, 5-10 black girls w/ BSL or longer in my lifetime.
Everyone's tryna look like a celeb/video girl.....I mean it's LA! So....

Contrary to other posters, I have seen lots of long heads here in NY. It is actually kinda starting to bum me out. Like dang they must have got the memo waaay before me.
And I can spot a weave really well so it's not that. I think these ladies run in high end circles and use high end products so they may cater to their hair more. Dunno
Me, too. When I visit the dominican salons, the places are full of APL and longer hair. SURE, I mean, you still have the obviously bad weaves/dye jobs kinds around, in the majority, but the long haired girls with hair that is truly theirs are no longer a rarity!Exactly, I see A LOT of women with long here in NYC in the past few years. I no longer do a double-take when I do see someone with hair down their back.
im hoping this will happen in nyc one day
some women might have long healthy hair
but right now all i am seeing is tacky weaves
I was just getting on to post what happened to my friend and I today on my lunch. A childhood friend of mine and I were waiting to be seated and a tall guy (at least 6'8") was standing next to us. He kept looking down but I wasn't sure at what and my friend had the WTF face so I looked up at him and he said "I'm sorry, I don't mean no disrespect but is that your hair?" I said, "yea it is." Then he turned to my friend and said "and is that your hair?" she too said "yes." He said "Man! If you look up endangered species in the dictionary, both of y'alls faces and those heads of hair would be in there!" He then said to me "You got Indian in you" then pointed to my friend who has MBL(unstretched) curly 3a hair and said "and you just got a jheri curl!" and started crackin up and said "I'm just joking, but you sisters are beautiful." We said thanks and had a little laugh about it.
I definitely have noticed this. I even posted about it a couple of weeks ago. I used to not see so many black women with long hair, but now I see black women with long natural and relaxed hair! It's really good to see that we are finally learning what's good for our hair and not just using products that contain bad ingredients just because they slap a label on that says "for women of color" .

funny when i wear my real hair ppl think its a weave--when i wear a weave ppl think its my real hair--go fig--cant win--i walk around with my real hair sistahs stop me and ask where did i "buy" that hair--when i walk around with a weave--ppl compliment my good head of hair--hilarious
Off topic: Slimzz, I love the natural-haired chick's hair in your avatar.
Back to the topic: How do you know that the new long hair is real? Maybe more women are really trying to use weave hair that actually MATCHES their hair texture for once.
I'm in Los Angeles, so the "long" hair I see belongs to Miss Kwan and Indian Remy no. 5.
