What men considered long broken down by race:

  • Black Men (anything equal or longer than SL)
  • White men (anything equal or longer than BSL)
  • Latino/Indian/Asian (anything equal or longer than WL)

I can see this breakdown. I really don't think Indian men think SL is long simply because their women rock MBL on a regular. Black women not so much so brothas can't have high expectations for long hair

Imo, black men think apl is long. Some of the ladies are right when it comes to what region of the US you are living. I live in Cali and people think that bls is long but when I lived in DC people thought sl was long. Go figure.

"To men" being the operative words here... I think at least APL.
Most hair books I've looked at to find styles indicate that anything past shoulder length in considered long.
Agreed. My sons, godfather who is asian meaning(indian) not Chinese. i'm from england btw. considers APL as long.

on a day to day basis...

long hair to me is full APL

on the board :giggle: it's full BSL/MBL (most of the times this is one in the same for most women...)

Men say all kinds of things, but when they see a nice looking woman all those "rules" seem to go out the window

To me, long hair is around BSL maybe?

Exactly! I pay NO attention to what men say. I know a lot of men that say they are not attracted to dark skinned girls but I'm an exception. Beauty can be found from EL to floor length.

i went to the piney woods school back in '05. i left after katrina happened. did you go to boarding school too?
Yup- it was a great, invaluable experience :yep:. I went for the last 2 years of high school.

I think men down here in the south consider APL to be long...
