LHCF 2013 Bootcamp

I am going to commit to 1 session(recommitting after each session) of LHCF Bootcamp. My consequence for violating Bootcamp Rules will be one month of abstaining from any kind of sex. :/ I am excited to see the hair progress I will make by participating in this challenge!!

Will post after Christmas and trim but before the 1st..

I have to commit in short bursts or I'll forget I'm in a challenge even if I'm still following the rules. Keeping connected makes it easier to remain focused and progress seems less arbitrary. That makes sense, right? I'm sleepy.

I will commit to four sessions of Bootcamp. I started to say two but I need help and encouragement for length retention. I will post a picture after my length check prior to New Years day. My punishment will be no products purchased for a week. A no buy is really hard for me to do.

I am going to commit to _1_ session of LHCF Bootcamp. I will recommit as the sessions end. My consequence for violating Bootcamp Rules will be _no fast food for 2 weeks_. I am excited to see the hair progress I will make by participating in this challenge!!

I will be pre-committing my emergency pass this session for my bday 2/26 :yep:

I am excited to see the hair progress I will make by participating in this challenge!! My protective styles of choice will be ponytails and buns. However, if I do not utilize any of the allotted emergency passes for the duration of the entire challenge, I am entitled to receive one guilt-free treat of my choice.

** The aforementioned “treat” cannot exceed $300USD, including applicable taxes, and will be voided if any dubious justifications or "see, what had happened was..." rationales are used. I hope to achieve BSL with mainly rollersets, lots of DC-ing, and bun - bun - bun! I'll trim before the end of Dec so I don't get in "trouble" in 2013! LOL

Here are the RULES:
1. No Direct Heat (Hooded Dryer is acceptable)
2. No Trimming (Dusting is allowed)
3. Deep Condition w/Every Shampoo Wash
4. Wear Only Protective (Buns, Braids, Twists, Weaves, etc.) or
Low Manipulation (Braidouts, Rollersets, etc.) Styles
 
I am going to commit to FOUR sessions of LHCF Bootcamp.

My consequence for violating Bootcamp Rules will be NO BUYING FOOD/ EATING OUT FOR 2 WEEKS - ex: no starbucks, no panera, no ordering pizza, etc no matter how hungry I get or how nasty the food at school is for the day!!.

Side note: I will say that my hair will be in mostly protective styles but for dance performances sometimes it is down. But once its over I will put it right back into a bun. I also will only rollerset to achieve those sleek styles and not use any heat (blow dryer, flat iron, etc).

I'm so excited to do this! APL HERE I COME!! p.s. pic coming as soon as i can convince my mom to rollerset for me. will happen sometime before the new year!

I am excited to see the hair progress I will make by participating in this challenge!!

I'm going to add in eating better, exercising 3x week, and scalp massages everyday.

Can this be for a trim? I just realized I am going to trim off my dead relaxed ends after my stretch in March. Not sure if the Emergency Pass is for heat only.
 
Hello Everyone!! It's on for 2013!!! Hey!! I am starting for 2013.
My first treatment for New Year's Eve was AOGPB with Hairtrigger to the scalp and length. I put some SD wheat germ conditioner on top with some grapeseed oil. This was overnight.
My second was a Rhassoul clay treatment to hair and face reconstituted with Braggs ACV for 1/2 hour.
I rinsed out and washed with SM black soap with a small amount of come clean diluted with 8 oz of warm water and rinsed
Next I applied IPN molasses and honey repair treatment for 1 hour under a plastic cap.
I rinsed and next applied MD seaweed and rice in sea moss with hemp seed oil added and grape seed oil to the top. I am under a cap until tomorrow morning. Happy New Year all you swangin ladies!!! Be Blessed!!:cup:
 
I relaxed on Friday, so I used Roux shampoo & Conditioner today, applied my Njoy mix to my roots, massaged it in, then I moisturized, sealed and bunned.
 
I am SO ready for this bootcamp!

Tomorrow i am going to do my mid week co-wash with my DevaCare No Poo, trying to use it up,i bought a huge bottle:grin:

I already have SM Deep Treatment masque and Eden Body works jojoba monoi as deep conditioners but i will soon purchase some Dominican products.

I still have some HE Honey I'm Strong conditioner left and i just bought a bottle of GF Pure clean conditioner so i'll use those up and buy some Dominican rinse conditioners to make sure i am good on rinse out conditioners.

I also have some stuff i'm using up from Curl Junkie.

Have i become a PJ??! I'm listing more products than usual:look:

I started this journey in August 2012 after getting fed up with stylist who were not concerned about the health of my hair. The picture I am posting is from the beginning of my journey and an updated in November and the last update is December. From august to November the health of my hair improved drastically.

I only rollerset. After relaxers will be the ONLY time I trim (please accept this). I relax 4 times a year and usually after the sessions begin (end of January, end of April, end of July, and end of October). Otherwise I'm in and I gave up blowing out my edges after rollersetting.

During the summer I plan on being brave and wearing ponytails a few days of the week.

I'm sooooo in!!! Everything else is easy breezy and I already do it!!!!
