Lazy bones!

Do you think that you were more diligent in your hair regimen when your hair was shorter, and now that it's gotten longer, you've kinda eased up... or gotten LAZY in how well you take care of your hair?
I have. I still wear my silky bonnet at night, and do conditioner only washes, and dust my ends, and deep condition.
But I am a little more lax with using sls shampoos and products that contain mineral oil. I also use heat a little more often. I have a CRIMPER  Can you believe it? I wash my hair in the kitchen sink, thus allowing my hair to flow forward instead of straight back.
These are things I would have never done in the beginning of my long hair journey.
Anyone else in the same lazy boat?

not me! i may fall off for a day or a week with moisturizing but i always see the consequences of that, so i make SURE to get back on track and you should too girl. I'm just eyeing my goals like crazy and I dont want to jeopardize me getting there, although i REALLY feel like treating myself to a salon haircut but i'm afraid of how much they'll take off which would set me back... so i'll wait till i get to my goal, and i'll go and get a banging haircut, while still keeping most of the length :)

yes and I don't know what has gotten over me and why I am so lazy when it comes to hair care. I really want to have my hair styled straight (flat ironed) at the moment, but I also want to give my hair a break from the heat. It's probably a combination of things. But if I absolutely have to style my hair I will.

With me I noticed when my hair was longer I was less diligent because I just did not have the time to control long hair. I felt long hair demanded so much more attention than having short hair.now my hair is shorter it is easier for me to manage

lol..girl I used to have one inch of hair back in 4th grade (bad f*ckin haircut that I DIDNT ask for) ..im in my second year of college now and im 4-5 inches above waistlength.. back when i had shorter hair, it was so much easier- i conditioned and shampooed it myself..and it was great. i loved how the soap made this huge fro around my head because i ALWAYS used too damn much..lol..i dont remember using oil or anything..lol

now im MORE conscious of my hair and less slacking off..if i want my transitioning head of hair to get longer, I have to REALLY step up the routine..lol but before I never wrapped it, oiled it or anything..never got haircuts until maybe a couple years ago..lol..and once again they were WAY too much off my hair so ive stopped as of a whole year from even DUSTING...I do more healthier things now DEFINITELY than I did then..

I think I’ve started to get a little lazier now that I can strawset or flexi rod my hair, leave it in for a week (maybe longer), and just moisture the hair that’s braided. I’ve stopped condition washing every 2-3 days now that my hair got a little thicker and my current styles can last longer. I think I’m becoming a little to set in my ways, however, this less manipulation and less worrying about how much my hair is growing seems healthier for my hair in a way.
