July Hits and Misses Yall!!!

Glad you liked it.

I like them both. The difference between the red and the green is, the green as a cone, and two of the ingredients are in different orders. The red is coneless. Both are intensely moisturizing though! I LOVE them

I must try the red. I know you have been giving this one good reviews for awhile. I gave the liter size bottle (green) to my mom. When I run out of some stuff, (how likely is that) I will try the red.

First...I wanted to say....I'm really mad at Tee with the multi-cultural dancing bananas. She kept it really politically correct from a "We are the World" smiley standpoint.

Now, the anti-frizz creme is the only item from the product line I've never used -- but anybody that helps keep NTM on the shelves (esp. my beloved NTM DDC), then I'm all for it :D

Welcome to the society of NTM lovers.

Dang Mona Lisa. I don't think I have tried the NTM DDC. You already know what this means...........:perplexed

Hairevda shealoe butter

MISSES:
none so far
I am so glad she is working out for you. I just love her! I see you enjoyed the H2H products. (I knew you would.) I haven't Joico and have been putting it off. You and HoneyDew are going to break me down. (after I use up some other products of course.);)

Undecided: Kenra Moisturizing Shampoo. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't spectacular either. Smells great though. I'll give it another try before I decided whether or not to take it back to Ulta.

HIT: Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner--now this stuff is GOOOOOOD! I left it on my hair for about 10 minutes. It rinsed easily and gave me great slip. My airdried hair came out great.

I love the conditioner. I picked up this one and the one for color treated hair. We all know color treated hair needs more moisture so I knew I couldn't go wrong with that. (even though I don't have color treated hair.)

Now, I can't believe I'm about to write this, but

NONE

Misses
Ion Color Defense Intense Moisture Conditioner - It smelled great, but it didn't smooth through my hair really well and it was not moisturizing enough.

Clairol Herbal Essence Color Conditioning Gloss - Moisturized but provided no slip.

Still Trying
Elasta QP Creme Conditioning shampoo

WHAT....No Hits!! You are right, I don't believe that!

Did you do that on dry hair or damp hair? It sounds like something I want to try. :scratchch

For this procedure, I do it on wet hair in the shower. (with no wait time in between applying the oil and the conditioner.) I promise you will enjoy it! (giggling at myself for saying, "for this procedure" <---- Like I am a doctor or something!)

Motions CPR...I dont like that its hard to get the little herb thingys out but I like what it does for my hair..
NTM

Misses:
Some hair that I bought from sallys thinkin I could make two cute french braid...pero it was not a good look.

I love the Motions CPR so much that I dont care about the 'bits and pieces' that are not so easy to rinse out.

Tip: After your final cold water rinse and detangling with a shower comb, comb through your hair in the shower with a smaller tooth bone comb. This will get them out better.

*hmmm...never tried the red bottle.....pondering....*

Do you mean to tell me Ms. Tee, that you never saw the NTM thread that was spurred on by Ms. Sylver and myself, espousing the joy that is NTM DDC to us? That is our ish!

That is my baby, right along my WRTC...that combo has gotten me through some frightening, tangling times....:perplexed

Any tangles, I break out the NTM DDC, WRTC and CON....and I'm good again...I will, never, never, eva....eva...eva...stray from those 3 in anyway shape, form or fashion - they would have to stop making it (apologies and shout out to CON, when I mistakenly turned to Keracare Hydrating Poo - bad move for Mo...bad move...didn't know it at the time..:( )

*that is the end of my emotion filled hair moment to Tee cause I know she has responses to tend to...*

A BIG HIT for me today:

Using 1/2 cup warmed Coconut Cream and 2 cups of full fat plain yogurt in my Henna/Cassia mix.

This made my mix thick and non-drippy and easy to apply and rinse out. My hair turned out great with this conditioning treatment! :)

Letitia, what products do you normal use when you do your special conditioning treatment.

Today I used the Natural 7 Oil (Sallys) and QP DPR deep conditioner. (but you know I love my Motions Moisture Plus in the tub. I am trying to use up the QP.)

Dang, I almost forgot my hit.

HIT:

Sunsilk Straighten Up Leave In.(Purple Bottle) I really was amazed at my hair. Really. This was the best airdry ever!

Letitia said:
you know she dont play about her NTM!

TSUPrincess......I wanted to try the BeCurly but I was unsure how it would work and I didnt want to buy it and then try to remember to take it back. I am bad at returning things. So more than likely, I would just keep it.:ohwell:

I ended up exchanging. I got some Aveda Hang Straight (for when I sraighten my hair sometime in the winter) and some Aveda Light Elements Smoothing Fluid. I'm craving shine right now, so I'm going to try the Smoothing Fluid on my hair after a wash 'n go to see how it works.

HITTT!
Alma oil
Vatika oil

MISS!!!
Porosity Control conditioner:eek:. I wanted it to work on my natural hair, but it made my hair a tangle mess:( !! I don't play that:mad: !!!! This baby is going up for swap!

Hit: Nexxus Headress Leave in:D

Miss: amla and Shikakai shampoo with reetha, I may revisit. But something is making me shed. Sooooooooo much hair came out at my last two washes. But it may be baggying because I've been baggying every day. Going to stop baggying and see what happens next wash.

HIT: Nutrine Garlic Shampoo! This stuff drastically decreased my shedding after one use  (I hate that it contains sulfates though :look: )
I diluted it with water & lathered once.

Ooooh, I saw that it had water-soluble cones, but didn't realize the red one didn't have any. Thanks! :)

I don't like it either and my hair is relaxed. The only time I think it helps me is RIGHT AFTER a touchup during the neutralizing phase. Other than that is does not really do anything but leave a slight coating on my hair.

Someone suggested mixing it with other conditioners, but I just gave up on it beign anything useful for me.

I may have to try this. I have been getting more shedding than usual. Where do you get it?

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I don't think I want to take a chance on it again, I'm just gonna call it quits!

Thank for the advice HoneyDew;)

I love the DDC. It is the leave-in that I don't like. Just does not do anything for me on wet hair and reverts my flatironed dry hair. It does make my hair soft, but gives me no shine - actually it takes away my shine. But the DDC is wonderful. I wish they made it in bigger bottles. (I sent them an email asking them to do that, too)

Hits:)
Oyin Handmade-Burnt Sugar Pomade
*smells nice, light, and wonderful shine.

Oyin Handmade-Juice's n Berries spray
*The fruity scented version of Greg Juice, smells nice, my hair is moist and supple. This is a keeper...it really helped my dry hair.

Camden Grey-Hempseed Butter
*I like to use this on my ends to seal and on my new growth.

Trader Joe's Essential Shampoo
*A great clarifying shampoo and it smells great. Only 1.99!

Trader Joe's Essential Conditioner
*Provides wonderful slip. Only 1.99!

Misses:mad:

Revisited Hit:D
Blended Beauty-Straight Pearl
*I love this stuff. Makes flat-ironing a breezee

Hits
Aussie Moist Conditioner - the original one in the white bottle. It smells great and made my hair shiny and moisturized.

HIT

Fermodyl 619 - The PJ in me had to try it. The detangling properties are great! Probably one of the best detanglers I've ever used. I rollerset my hair afterwards, and didn't use anything but water, and my hair was so soft, free flowing and bouncy. I'm going to have to stock up on this stuff!
