Hit: Olive oil in relaxer

I got my corrective yesterday and I mixed olive oil into the relaxer. I brought my own relaxer to the salon so I could mix it in with them knowing. When it was all said and done the lady was amazed at how soft my hair was. Thats when I told her I mixed oil in it:cool:

Hits::D

Motions moisture plus conditioner+Aphogee 2 minute mixed together for my bi-weekly protein treatments. I tried this this weekend since I get tired of bouncing in and out the shower every other week to do my protein treat, and then rinse, and follow up with my moisturizing DC. So I added the two together. Nothing but moisturized YET strong hair and the smell is great too.

 WONDERFUL mixture!! taking notes....

I stopped using the MMP, because it just stopped working for me. I think you combo is a great way to use up the tub of the MMP I have.

On The Fence.....ShikakaiBar.

It really left my hair clean and my hair felt really nice. I didnt care about the smell. ( but I have smelled much worse) I will give it another try using the Shikakai Oil as a pre poo before I call it a true Hit or Miss.

I like using the oil first as a prepoo, then using the bar. The two products together like that seem to complement each other.

Did you do that on dry hair or damp hair? It sounds like something I want to try. :scratchch

HIT: CREAM OF NATURE (GREEN LABEL) -- My first cheapie success story!

I've never thought much about poos. I like to use ones with lower PH, but besides that I don't care. I dilute them so much I can use anything with good results. Well I ran out of styleone and decided to try something new.

I poo'd w/ Creme of Nature Shampoo (green label) and I didn't even use conditioner afterwards and my hair is all silky and soft. On top of that it lathered. I haven't had lather on my head for a year (i.e, the neutralizing poo after my relaxer). I diluted CON 1:28 just like I do everything else and it still lathered! At first I was worried it would strip my NG and I'd spend the next few days soaking it in oil, but it never happened. I'll still keep my garlic poo for shedding and my styleone poo because it has a lower PH, but I won't be paying $25 for Phyto nectar anymore. :yay:

I love the green one. I use it to correct conditioning treatment gone bad. Great stuff with an even better price.

Hey chica, have you tried the other colors. There was a red one in the same type of bottle and one with a totally different bottle/label. What's up with that?

Glad you liked it.

I like them both. The difference between the red and the green is, the green as a cone, and two of the ingredients are in different orders. The red is coneless. Both are intensely moisturizing though! I LOVE them

Now, I can't believe I'm about to write this, but

NONE

Misses
Ion Color Defense Intense Moisture Conditioner - It smelled great, but it didn't smooth through my hair really well and it was not moisturizing enough.

Clairol Herbal Essence Color Conditioning Gloss - Moisturized but provided no slip.

Still Trying
Elasta QP Creme Conditioning shampoo

Undecided: Kenra Moisturizing Shampoo. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't spectacular either. Smells great though. I'll give it another try before I decided whether or not to take it back to Ulta.

HIT: Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner--now this stuff is GOOOOOOD! I left it on my hair for about 10 minutes. It rinsed easily and gave me great slip. My airdried hair came out great.

HITS:
My new stylist Weedy.....thanks Letita for sharing
Joico moisture recovery and k-pak line
H2H msm oil, end all
Growth Specifics BT
Hairevda shealoe butter

MISSES:

First...I wanted to say....I'm really mad at Tee with the multi-cultural dancing bananas. She kept it really politically correct from a "We are the World" smiley standpoint.

Now, the anti-frizz creme is the only item from the product line I've never used -- but anybody that helps keep NTM on the shelves (esp. my beloved NTM DDC), then I'm all for it :D

Welcome to the society of NTM lovers.
