But everyone conveniently overlooked it/didn't notice until you elaborated. I doubt most people even remembered that drama. But they do now.

You know coming to think of it on the original topic <self hate>, has anyone been to Nappurality recently to see if they're buzzing about this topic. I can only imagine what they have to say since they're a little more militant on such issues. :look:

Anyhoo, I'm not one for the "self-hating" comments. I think i have to know someone before i can judge and call them "self-hating". I'm just worried about why her husband is comfortable with his wife shaving her head just to wear Lace fronts???? I agree with how the ladies at BHM handle it. I don' think that its anyone's job to teach other people about their issues with their race. The only thing you can do is just, answer their question and let it go. Don't even waste the time to "sock it" to the person.

Agreed. :look: I was almost ripped a new one about a year and a half ago because I was involved in a flame war of sorts and I said "I enjoy my hair relaxed." Why I had to say that? :lol:

Yes, there was a thread about this over at Nappturality. I made a comment over there that I thought it was very disturbing and sad.

I love BHM . I typically post in the natural section and the hair growth section. I am not surprised that something like this would be posted in the Lace Front section. I have read some "interesting" things about hair type on BHM and this board also so I don't think we should assume that the whole board has this mentality. I am disturbed by the woman's post but found it best to ignore it. There are MANY people (male and female) who feel that way but just don't express it.
