I Have a "THING" For Barbers...

i don't tend to meet men who are already working in a profession i like since i mainly meet students. however, i love guys who study art and/or design and men doing medical science of some sort. i guess the former has something in common with me but i like the contrast the latter provides.

I have a "thing" for...

-Men who work in construction and are general contractors.
-Men who are business owners (something about a man controlling his destiny and running things gets me all flutterly inside.:yep:)

I'm drawn to military men. I mainly like the look and discipline of soldiers and marines. I come from a miliary family so I have grown up seeing them all my life. I like the way that they carry themselves, and most of them seem to have very good manners.

I think military men are in the lead.

I LOVE:

-Military men
-Mechanics

I ain't never seen a sexy mechanic..:lachen:

MARINES!!!

Military men again!

I met a really sexy assistant principal today. You know, brotha from the hood who goes back to the school he grew up in to help the kids in his neighborhood stay on the right track.... His level of caring for those kids and the way he kept them in line was really, REALLY sexy. :lick:

I bet he WAS sexy..

I'm drawn to rockstars... I know it sounds cliche... but men with long hair who can play an intrument... mmmyeah.

Barbers just have a swagger about them :lick:....they always dress cute and smell so good. I cant wait to take my son to the barbershop:grin:

I hate to sound so clique, but "I love a man in uniform". Half the time I don't care what the uniform is as long as the occupation involves hard work. Policeman, Fireman, Construction worker, Football player, Hockey player, Rugby player, Mailman (j/k)... & my honey- a railroad switchman :lick:. He learned early in the relationship to put that uniform on right before he went to work because if he put it on too early he was definitely going to be late.

Same here, man in uniform. In fact I'm all over any man that gets his nails dirty. I'm not a "corporate man" type of girl.

Dated barbers, rappers, postal workers, IT guys, mechanics, "salesmen" (no not drugs), construction workers, UPS LOL! and it goes on and on. I like dirty fingernails (not literally) and man sweat (literally.)

Me neither BUT blue collar men seem a little put off by me...maybe it's my education? I like them but they no likey me as much....:ohwell:...I sense a spin-off in the works...

You know what? That reminds me of how my first love (now a close romatonic friend...i say romatonic (romantic + platonic) because we know it won't work but there's still feelings there)...tells me that "I be slumming"...he feels that I date men who are beneath the standards that I should have for myself. That's partially because I like blue collar men. Does that mean that a Blue collar man + white collar woman = disaster?

men who work with their hands - mechanics, carpenters
computer nerds:grin:

I don't know any cute computer geeks but they're a few cute telephone guys that come into my office from time to time (my office has a large phone closet with wires and switches)...thats such a nice and welcome disturbance...they're so polite...they always as me if they can come in...i'm like, YUP...:lick::lachen:

I will find out. :yep:

Girl bout to do some detective work, huh? :sekret:

In my opinion not necessarily. In my experience a blue collar man tends to love and appreciate you more and treat you like a queen. If he is not intimidated by your education, success, and intelligence then it can be a match made in heaven. The trick is finding one who is not intimidated. I was shocked to discover how much blue collar men can pull in with their salaries and many of them grow to owning their own businesses in their perspective trades. Before I dated my first love I would've never given a blue collar man a chance but after dating him, it's almost as if I prefer them as well. So dating a blue collar man doesn't mean your standards are low. A white collar man can be making $40,000 while a plumber is pulling in $60,000+. Shoot coming home sweaty and dirty from working hard all day is a major turn on :look:

You have some good points. :yep: I never felt like I was "slumming"...it's just that I haven't found the "right" blue collar man that appreciates "all this"..
