i think the part that had most ppl mad, aside from saying the hair thing is a fad :ohwell: and making it sound like a competition with the title "the naturals are catchin up" :perplexed, was the stuck with them at SL part. I don't think she meant it to say they struggle to get past it, like they are stuck at shoulder. i think she just meant it like chillin at the same length with them cuz shes not reachin her goals or whatever. like if there was a room with SL peeps and a room with APL length peeps, she would be stuck in the room with the SL peeps :lachen: not saying they are literally stuck at that length :look:

Exactly. I'm not even natural and I was confused and offended once she provided clarification. We are all here for the same reasons. :yep:

Okay this is getting out of hand. Now were name calling like 5yr olds. Yeah it waaaay past time TO CLOSE THIS THREAD.

Flawed, your hair has done a complete turnaround. I love it, very pretty:grin:

Anyhoo after all the explanations I am still confused. Oh well.

if they were natural and sl, with shrinkage wouldn't that mean they were really apl stretched? if that is the case, then i guess "catching up" is an understatement.

I understand what she means (kind of), but i dont understand why being the same length as a natural would be so bad... i dont like the singling out, or the tone of some of the post. Also, just because a handfull of naturals came and responded... it doesn't mean the whole board went up and joined a "fad". Even if half of the naturals went up and relaxed next week, it still wouldn't qualify the natural hair phase as a fad... i just dont get that part.

:lachen:OMG you can seriously tell this is a majority natural board.

Everytime someone makes something (that is NOT even dergatory towards naturals) oh then here comes everyone with the uneeded snappy remarks towards me:rolleyes:. If it is not a competition (which I never stated it was) why are you guys quick to jump the gun to defend your precious natural head. In this post no one is winning. This is just a statement of my opinions. Just let me state my opinion and you state yours and be done.

Hater...Downgrading the experience...WTF! I just made a post stating

1. There are more naturals around here lately
2. I think it is a fad, and in a year or two the majority will move to other styles (This is my opinion, not yours. )
3. With the growing numbers of beautiful natural heads and relaxed heads, don't you feel the need (inspired for better terms) to grow yoru hair strong healthy and long? (If YOU don't, oh well. I personally do)
4. Just because YOU went natural does not mean YOU did it because of a fad. I was talking about "real life America." and not LHCF.com. On this board you know the cons and pros on going natural, most others do not. They just think it's kute right now. Which is why I call it a fad.

Real America and LHCF? I went natural before I even knew anything about this site and I'm pretty sure a lot others did as well, so you're saying people who are not on this site are just doing it because everybody else is, I dont think so, being natural is "supposely" negative in America anyway, I dont think someone will just cut their hair because someone else did
