:lachen:OMG you can seriously tell this is a majority natural board.

Everytime someone makes something (that is NOT even dergatory towards naturals) oh then here comes everyone with the uneeded snappy remarks towards me:rolleyes:. If it is not a competition (which I never stated it was) why are you guys quick to jump the gun to defend your precious natural head. In this post no one is winning. This is just a statement of my opinions. Just let me state my opinion and you state yours and be done.

Hater...Downgrading the experience...WTF! I just made a post stating

1. There are more naturals around here lately
2. I think it is a fad, and in a year or two the majority will move to other styles (This is my opinion, not yours. )
3. With the growing numbers of beautiful natural heads and relaxed heads, don't you feel the need (inspired for better terms) to grow yoru hair strong healthy and long? (If YOU don't, oh well. I personally do)
4. Just because YOU went natural does not mean YOU did it because of a fad. I was talking about "real life America." and not LHCF.com. On this board you know the cons and pros on going natural, most others do not. They just think it's kute right now. Which is why I call it a fad.
Naw sweet pea, the fad assessment is just inaccurate. In most medium to large parts of the country, this ain't nothing new. And being that it's been going on for a while, it doesn't qualify as a fad. This is much bigger than lhcf. And there are probably more naturals than you realize because they press/blow out etc. You are BORN with natural hair. How can what you are born with be a fad?

Just as many people who may go back to relaxing, just as many are transitioning and big chopping. I've had many girls come up to me about transitioning and big chopping and they are not on lhcf and they are not doing it just because they think it's cute. That assumption is kind of unfair.

Relaxed head here.

The OP sucked. So does this post.

Natural head here - In total agreement with the BOLDED!:lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen:

That is just stupid! For you as well as the other that try to attack this post through me, you are so damn immature.

:nono: The OP was immature and not well thought out. So were your posts that ensued. You attacked naturals for attaining goals that you apparently cannot. MN and BT are your friends. PM ~StillALady~. She can hook you up with that good. :lachen:

LADIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK - I see this one closing soon.....

C'mon! We don't neeed to to name call......

The post might be well... not good - but that has nothing to do with the person who wrote it - or other opinions.

Everyone please be civil.

Tell me how in the WORLD did I attack naturals? Quote it please.

"attaining goals that you apparently cannot"

Maybe if I had an unhealthy head of hair, but I do NOT! And maybe if I wasn't well on my hair journey. For you to be so damn critical, where is your fotki MzPlainImmature? Anyway, I'm gonna squash this beef, because I really don't have the time for petty back n forth arguements. I had an opinion. I stated it. I am done. And so is this thread.

Its a fad for some and a right of passage for others. Boxing everyone into one category is pointless. OP and others in this thread have made statements that seem ill conceived and biased to either side. Whether natural or relaxed, your hair can thrive. Its completely up to the individual.

I don't really care whether it's a fad or not. Just as long as it inspires us to learn how to take care of our hair whether natural or relaxed. IMO, not knowing how to take care of our hair is the real danger, and unfortunately this is not a FAD.
ITA!!
say it is a fad (which I dont agree). but say one girl went natural because her BFF is natural. going natural is a commitment and takes lots of learning and dedication to care for and style one's hair. this would be a fad that would be every educational aand she will use this same knowledge in the future even if she decides to go back and get a relaxer.

While MPJ's method my be a little harsh, her message is somewhat accurate. I read all of the thread and it does come off as condescending towards naturals. I know that may not have been your intent, but that's how it is coming across to many.

Hey hey hey. That was mean! :( Besides, not everyone should have a fotki. ;)

I have seen the perfect picture to sum up all of this. I think everyone would just hold hands and understand where the OP is coming from. But, I digress.

That is all.

Sincerely,
GN

To the OP: A lot of people who read your post(s) on this thread were confused. Maybe of you stated yourself clearer, this thread wouldn't be taking this path.

I know I was. Which is why I'm finding it hard to be offended. I'm just too confused to be. :lachen::lachen:

i think the part that had most ppl mad, aside from saying the hair thing is a fad :ohwell: and making it sound like a competition with the title "the naturals are catchin up" :perplexed, was the stuck with them at SL part. I don't think she meant it to say they struggle to get past it, like they are stuck at shoulder. i think she just meant it like chillin at the same length with them cuz shes not reachin her goals or whatever. like if there was a room with SL peeps and a room with APL length peeps, she would be stuck in the room with the SL peeps :lachen: not saying they are literally stuck at that length :look:

:ohwell: :look:

I've never been so confused in all my days. :lachen:

Where do you live, Krazynkute, where all these women are going natural, as a fad?

I'm curious, cuz I wanna go visit there and check out the salons, because it's a rare soul that chooses to learn how to take care of their own hair as a fad - that's too much effort for something that changes with the wind like a fad does.....

I've gotta say, round these parts, 80% of the natural heads I see are still on men or women over 50.... :lachen:
