You can get a pressing comb at Sally's. I saw one when I was there last week. I was looking for a plug. I had an electric one a long time ago. This was the old fashioned put it on the stove kind.

This is what I need!! An oven and a pressing comb. I have one of those plug in ones from Amazon that is some BS. I need to just give that away... I do have a 20% coupon for Sally's hmm....

Now where can I get an oven.. because I'm scared to put it on the stove???:lachen::lachen:

Hit a Sally in a hood-ish area and they should have a stove or two. Or just a BSS cuz I know the Sally around you ain't got that kind of stuff

Right.. I know none of my Sally's have them "in store" cuz I never saw them.

Now I couldn't have thought of this when I was on my :sekret: mission to find my Elucence products?? I probably passed like 20 BSS.. So I called Craig (like I'm on first name basis with him :lachen:) of Craig's Beauty (Black Owned and Operated) and he has the Kentucky Maid one I want .. but for 42.95.. saw one on *bay for 29.95 for $10 shipping...but guess what.. they were located in Detroit!!! So I emailed and asked if they allow pick up.. guess who needs to be going with me..lol.. my mama or you! I hope they're black owned as well. But it was "Lee" Beauty.. which could be Lee as in Lee-Roy or Lee as in Kim-Lee..:lachen::lachen: You know I can't trust myself in a BSS..alone.

This is how the PJ'ism starts.. my mom said I already think one of my spare rooms is a real salon..lol.. because of the whole cape situation.. lol

LMAO! When do you want to pick it up? You know Lee is more like Li. You need capes and such! It's a mandatory part of a true PJ's arsenal/survival kit. Let me know, D went to camp today so I's free for the next couple days and my phone should be @ my house when I get there today  If there was a smiley that could shout, I'd use it!

Yeah, the electric one I had years ago was BS too. I'm thinking of getting another one though because I am just too lazy to flat iron. I can get my hair done faster with a straightening comb. I am so not getting the old fashioned kind to put on the stove or in a stove. I remember when I lived in Florida going to this lady's garage which she turned into a beauty shop to get a press and curl. She used to burn me up with that hot a$$ comb and curling iron she put in a stove. My hair looked good though!

:lachen::lachen::lachen: Kentucky maid had some electric ones.. I guess they are the best makers of the "pressing comb" and ceramic ovens.. I just don't trust it.. my one from amazon was gold and hot.. and though it was hot enough to burn your hand.. my edges was looking like.. "B" please.. you best come with something more real than that..:lachen:

I don't know.. I crave smooth edges and silkiness.. that can only be achieved with heat on my hair.. or relaxer..

The oven one I know will work because it gets up to 1000 degrees...

Looks really good girl!!! Just be careful. I had extreme breakage after day 4 or 5. However the breakage stopped when I used my egg protein treatment (thank goodness). I suffered a few splits too and just sucked it up and invested in a quality blow dryer which has helped my hair retain soooo much more moisture.

Either way, your hair came out super cute and is progressing very well missy!

Thanks shtow!

Extreme breakage?? After day 4 or 5 of flat ironing or 4-5 days after the initial flat ironing?? I'm back in a wet bun. I gave myself Elucence's moisturizing treatment today and so far so good.. But don't scare me like that! Now how "damp" was yours?? Like I couldn't feel dampness on like 97% of the hair and no sizzlies...

Your welcome! Yup extreme breakage 4-5 days after the only time I damp flat ironed. I was losing my mind LOL I wrote an update thread for everyone who wondered how it went. Um there was no sizzle. I dried under the dryer until like 80 percent dry. The front was the most dry and I had problems on my whole head. The splits I saw confirmed it because I always use heat and never, ever get splits. Thank goodness, I only have a few from this. But your hair may not revolt like mines so don't be scared:yep:

I turned out great!!!! I love your results. Did you curl it with the flat iron as well?

Thanks...!!! Yup.. I always curl it with the flat iron.. I do the back half with my 1.75 to straighten it and bump it a bit and use my 1.25 to twist and make the curls in the top.

it was not as silky as the salon. But still very nice for a home 'do.

Here's a pic.
